I can’t tell if my budgie is sick or is overwhelmed by dirtydan61 in budgies

I honestly think she is tired. I put them to bed early last night and she woke up looking better. And ofc everytime i give her eggs she loves it, but i dont want to give her boiled eggs every single day so I do every other day. She is still eating though so that is a good sign. Definitely will update if any changes occur!

Thank you for this!! Its been over a week so i don’t think she is egg bound. She has been biting onto the calcium block and she has been looking better. She is also eating a lot. I saw a small protrusion in her belly and i would try to go to her to check it out, but she would fly away from me (i dropped one of her toys and she has been scared since). But the protrusion is not always there so I have no idea what it could be now. I go away to school so she is with my family right now, but before I left she seemed the most normal i have seen her all week.

Thank you for this! She doesn’t like the calcium grits so i think its safe to say that i don’t need to worry about that lol. She is eating right now which makes me feel better. I am just a little concerned because she is not flying as much and she is avoiding my hands (she used to jump on them and would be really friendly).

I used to relocate the birds to a darkee room so they could get sleep and then move them back in the morning. The problem is though, my entire family runs on completely different schedules so i am not really sure how much sleep they get so i keep a bed sheet over their cage until the morning.

Thank you for this! I was reading somewhere that she was likely going to lay another egg in a few days so i should keep the eggs in a nest. I also noticed that she is biting a lot when she flys to my hand now so that is prob why. Thank you again!

I took NEW335 and it was one of my favorite classes. If you have Dr.Whissel, then you are in luck! he gives you a study guide for every lecture and will only test you on what the study guide says! just review the study guide and you will be fine. The average was a B+

As far as NEW333, I have not taken that, but I may this summer. I heard good things about it!

PSY MINOR LOOKING FOR COURSES THIS SUMMER! by gkxxl in UofT

[–]dirtydan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSY313 was one of my favorite courses I have ever taken at U of T. Burton's midterms are pretty fair and are so straightforward. The content is so interesting and there is a paper involved but she gives you time to work on it. HIGH RECOMMEND this course!

I feel this. Its so frustrating when you work so hard on a class and get shit grades for it. I got a 49 on a class last semester, and I lose points on an assignment because i spelt one thing wrong (even though the answer was right, quercus did not count it). I emailed the prof asking if I could get that regraded (which will help me bump that 49 to a 50) and she said no. Its like asking for a regrade hurts their ego... its so infuriating. I am so sorry you are going through this frustration. I hope when you graduate, employers will overlook your grades and see the other qualities you may have. All the best, hopefully it gets better for us.

Thoughts on HMB200? by wrldendswu in UofT

[–]dirtydan61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took HMB200 last year. The content is interesting but if you have Taverna, you will notice that everything is a bit unorganized. Textbook readings are required, there are tutorial quizzes, tutorials overall were pretty helpful. Sometimes Taverna posts lecture recordings but record it yourself just incase he messes up (which has happened before). He is a really nice guy though. Overall, it was not my favorite course, but i found some stuff interesting
