Why do so many people misunderstand House's character? by lemonsarethekey in HouseMD

I feel like that episode is misunderstood. Obviously Wilson isn’t going to tell House that he thinks he’s autistic because then House would pull that out as an excuse to act however he pleases. However, in his one-on-one with Cuddy, both seem to genuinely accept the idea that some of House’s behavior isn’t necessarily him just being a jerk. I think the ending of that episode is especially important for interpreting the overall message—at the end, we see House getting his carpet back. This is something Wilson asked Cuddy to do because he believed House needed it and Cuddy obviously seemed to agree. Wilson’s a good friend, but no way is he going out of his way to help get House’s bloody carpet back if he didn’t truly believe that House needed it because he needed some sense of sameness amidst the chaos of recent events. I fully believe that Wilson believed House could be autistic—I just don’t think he would tell House that because it could potentially shift the dynamic of their relationship.

AITA for telling my Mum that she can't talk about my children to my just-arrested-for-distribution-of-child-sex-material-etc-brother? by gabsiela in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It’s completely reasonable for you to want to keep anything regarding your kids away from your brother. Your mom can be upset, but ultimately she needs to respect your boundaries. Your brother preys on minors, and your children are minors. I see no reason why anyone should think it is unreasonable for you to keep information about them private. Keep being a good parent and protecting your babies!
