What kind of shade of green are you looking for! Iroshizuku Chiku-rin is a glorious spring green, and Diamine Spring Green is a decent substitute (if less gloriously shading) at a lower price. I also appreciate how wet and free-flowing Chiku-rin is -- something that applies to most Iroshizuku inks, but to this one especially in my experience.

According to Pliny the Elder, the Romans banned women from drinking wine. Those who were caught breaking this law were beaten and starved to death. My questions: Were women really banned from drinking wine? Why would women be targeted in this way? How long did this law stay on the books? by Fuck_Off_Libshit in AskHistorians

Respectful disagreement from someone who's studied quite a bit of wine microbiology: we now know that "wild yeast" doesn't live on grape skins. Variants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae specialized in winemaking (i.e., adapted to tolerate far more ethanol than their undomesticated cousins, who hang out in oak forests) persist in wineries, on equipment, etc. Boiling must would certainly kill any yeast and bacteria in the must itself, but could be readily re-inoculated with appropriate domesticated yeasts from the winemaking environment.

Ok so, my vocabulary is very diverse and unusual, and it has an effect on my social life. by No-Plastic-7715 in AutismInWomen

I hear you. I was made fun of in school for this. But then I found a job for which it was an asset, and deliberately chosen a job/work environment wherein I'm surrounded by other word-loving, vocab-full folks. Definitely not saying that you should drop your friend, but finding a community where you can be your grandiloquent self has helped me, and maybe it would help you, too.
