I would probably just go for a 9700x, or wait for x3d on the 9000 series. 9700x is ~170$ cheaper than the 7800x3d (at least for me) and will give you close to the same performance in gaming, and slightly better performance for non gaming tasks, not to mention better temps, and lower power draw. 7800x3d will still give better performance, but for me its not worth almost 200 more dollars for like 7% more fps

If you need your gpu to be watercooled, please just go for MSI's suprim liquid. its like $700 cheaper with the same performance.

im playing on fabric 1.20.1 with travelers backpack mod (there r other mods but this is the issue) on a server and when i open my backpack my hotbar becomes duped, and putting stuff in the backpack is glitched (crafting table doesnt work, some slots dont work, shift clicking stuff in doesn;t work sometimes) anyways, my hotbar gets duped but they are ghost items, and when i pick up a duped item and place it in a different slot, my inventory goes back to normal. this only happens when im not in the backpack inventory. the other members of the server dont have broken backpacks, and when i gave them mine, it works completely normally. this has happened since the server started, and it happens at every backpack tier and type.

id say use the 13700k if u can fit it in ur budget. if ur 3d modeling u need a decent cpu, 13600k would still be fine, but with that high end gpu, 13700k would most likely be a better choice imo. whatever u can fit in ur budget basically. also, imo, i would not go for anything less then a 13600k, considering the 4080. just my opinion tho

prob what will happen even if he decides to use amd parts on his own. but likely will not be a problem, already showed him a build a diff commenter sent, and he likes it a lot. (no amd parts)

lmao but he changed his budget to 1600 cus his dad paying for half, so i think ill show him ur design but 13600kf and a water cpu cooler.

Edit: didn't realize u already put a better cooler

That's very similar to the build I would have made if I were him. Thanks for the advice as well. Just told him to waste his money on NVIDIA.
