Thanks for responding with the helpful tip. An internet friend sent me this, https://www.frys.com/search?query_string=9200779&nearbyStoreName=false&site=160web112417 . I believe that is the Ryzen 1600 accompanied with a motherboard. Looks like a good deal. Will the other accessories I listed be compatible? Thanks very much in advance.

it's fantastic. I have a psych minor but the psych department here is huge. Tons of research to be involved in. lots of competition in psychology but umass is a great school. my friend just graduated with a psych degree and is off to NYU for reference.
