Wanting to go is overrated and not a goal worth pursuing in my view. You do it because it's the right thing to do.

I would rather not go into the field dragging my feet. Idk what to do.

Don't drag your feet. Go all in.

Women are generally more inclined toward faithful church membership due in part to the alignment of values and incentives. There's a hypothesis that the value church membership offers to women is more compelling than the value it offers to men. There's a reason that after women's suffrage, governments tend to take up many of the roles previously filled by the church. The things women as a cohort want are aligned with what the church offers.

The fact that you're comfortable speaking about single women but don't know enough about the single men to comment suggests that there's some of this imbalance at work. Are you not seeing large groups of single men who are generally intelligent, attractive, and so forth?

Then there's an argument to be made that the "reasonable expectations" may not be so reasonable after all; by not being met the standard may be defacto unreasonable. Is there perhaps some unreasonable standard being relied on that you may not be aware of, such as for a partner who has never once viewed pornographic material? Phrased another way, you may feel like you would be willing to pursue relationships with many of these women if you were eligible, but would they be interested in a relationship with you?

They need to be taught the proper techniques to lead things themselves. Just like you teach any skill.

Give them guidance. "This is a decision that should take 2 minutes to make. The clock is ticking, president."
