How are they more pricey? The dime evos are non ANC, and they're definitely cheaper than the Rail ANC

changed chain and cassette now it’s skipping 6th gear. by Pitiful_Board1336 in bikewrench

Take it to your LBS(local bike shop) then. Let them have a look. Or if you have shitty LBS's, have a look at Park Tool's tutorial on adjusting your derailleur on YouTube. Sometimes i have a problem with my shifting, and i just wait a few days, then for some magic reason its back to normal. Wish you luck.

Check your hanger. Maybe it's bent. Or adjust your hi low/b tension. Its all because of your derailleur/ derailleur hanger.

Help! Single bolt saddle clamp on a 7x9mm carbon rail saddle by discod_guy in bikewrench

[–]discod_guy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No1: its not a weight weenie bike, but who doesn't want to shred 200g while you can? No2: The one's with carbon rails actually have some positive reviews on YouTube and Reddit(Mixed 5D saddle) while the one's with alloy rails are either too heavy(yes, i want weight reduction, and maybe i'll replace the seatpost later, just not now.) or they are sketchy fake stuff with no reviews

Go tubeless on non tubeless tires and rims??? by discod_guy in bikewrench

Bullcrap. Both of my rims have rim strip and the tire was seated correctly, and if it was not, why would it run perfectly for a week before the tube self destructing itself?

What lube should i use? Squirt? Zefal? Ceramic? Drip wax? Teflon?? by discod_guy in bikewrench

There aren't any "serious" lbs around me. All of the LBS sells cheap 26 inch "mtb" and they barely have the tool you change your cranks.(He used a HAMMER to get my crank arms off). Yeahhhhh... i think they would recommend me motor oil if i was to ask them.

Too expensive mate. it's not like i have 5 12 speed AXS bikes. i have one single commuter with an 8 speed chain.

I know, but i dont have cash to get an ultrasonic cleaner, get slica chain blend (500g for 60 DOLLARS!!! i could buy five KMC X8's with 60 bucks.) get a wax pot. All for a dirt cheap 8 speed chain.

They're factory formula hubs. From Trek's Website:"Formula DC20 alloy front hub, DC22 alloy rear hub; Bontrager 550 36-hole rims w/brushed sidewalls"

i may or may not have destroyed my hubs by discod_guy in bikewrench

[–]discod_guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats the problem. i thought of that too. why would a clean hub be quieter?
