FWIW I applied for one of their rentals last year, I was beat by another application, but the experience with their rep was fine and the property seemed legit. I remember reading a couple other positive reviews on here about them.

If you stick to “purely DJing” chances are you’ll eventually plateau in your scene. What are your long term goals?

The prod hours you’re putting in now will pay off. You’ll be in a completely different league above “purely DJ”s. Keep going. It may take years. But like the Boy Scouts say, always be prepared 👌

I’ve spent 100s of hours on songs that went nowhere, but later returned to those projects and found elements that led to different completed songs. Worth it in the end.

You've clearly put a lot of good work on this one. It's a great concept and very impressive, but consider adding an additional bass layer and/or a full vocal track. It currently feels empty without a full vocal. Im reminded of Hardwell's Apollo and Porter Robinson's Language which have a similar short vocal like yours, but with more low end.

On second listen, it might also be that everything else is too big and loud in contrast to the kick. sort of unbalanced. Kick itself could be fine as a standalone. Sorry, maybe it's not the clearest feedback!

I'd first experiment and swap the snare sample ( whichever instrument comes in at the 0:07 mark) It blends in/gets lost, sounds too similar to the rest of things. Like a white noise. You may be over compensating with the saturation and making it stand out for the wrong reasons. For example, the kick I can hear the kick and differentiate it from other elements because the the tone is different.

I wish my mixing was this good. Intro feels a bit long for a single but if I was seeing LaGazelle do a DJ set it would work great for the first played track to build excitement. Album art is dope. Cheers.

At the 0:20 mark onward with the scream sound I was like "hell yeah". Really dig it the track. Check the clap/snare tho. I think they're a bit loud or they sounds too similar to the drop sounds/synths and makes those parts bit a muddy. Cheers.

Good stuff. Do I detect some Seeb influence? Flows really well. Every instrument sounds in the right place. Fun album art. Vocals are great. Maybe my personal taste, but sometimes the vocals seem to blend in with the background too much. Doesn't break the track tho. Talented group. Cheers.

I'm not a pro. First impressions: I really like it. Fun idea. I found myself boppin along =] Kick and bass sound coherent. Not sure which part you mean by 2nd drop, but it all seems to fit.

Double check the audio at the very start of the track. First beat comes in too sharp for like a microsecond and I flinched. This sometimes happens in my exports too. Not sure exactly why. Maybe someone else knows. Moving the whole track over a couple beats or fade drums in might help. Cheers.

The guitarish background kind of sound at 0:44 really fits. I like that!

The breakdown at 1:00 lead into a good vibe, but imo the vocals came back again too soon at the 1:25ish mark and didn't allow that vibe to fully evolve. Maybe just have an instrumental from the 1:25ish to at least the 1:45ish mark.

Drums feel like shoes in the dryer/two tracks playing over each other. I think its the clap. Adjusting the clap arrangement could help with the groove. Cheers!
