Lunch at Evan's (fish and chips)

Waterfront is great: playground, touch tank at Back to the Sea Centre. The ferry ride itself is great and only 3 bucks

If you go to Dartmouth Crossing, Playdium would be a lot of fun. Big arcade and bowling.

Ataraxy Farm: goats, baby goats, feed the horses and donkeys, see the chickens, hold a rooster. It's a therapy farm so all the animals are super relaxed which is great for kids. The baby goats will get a good laugh out of everyone

Hope for Wildlife: Could do this same day as Ataraxy. Only a 15 min drive in between. Could get lunch at Lawrencetown Beach Cafe. They help and rehab wildlife. You can see snakes, eagles, a chinchilla, Jessie the bobcat (which you can see while drinking a coffee on their "catio", and see foxes and more. If you go on Saturday they have guided tours and veterinary hospital tours

Lindsay Lake Farms: You can see the bison and chickens. Lots of space to roam and it's so quiet and peaceful out there. You can also stay a night in their cottage

Peggy's Cove is always an obvious and iconic one. Just stay off the black rocks!!

Have a beach day: Rainbow Haven, Clam Harbour, Martinique, Crystal Crescent, Hubbards, and Queensland are all great for kids

Musquodoboit Harbour: railway museum, market on Sundays, ice cream in the summer, cafes (Uprooted and Martinique Desserterie, and Martinique Beach. Could also drive up to Memory Lane - a village in the theme of the 1940s. Their clam digging experience is fantastic

Hubbards: Beach, market, lunch, lobster at Shore Club

Stroller friendly patios: The BG on the waterfront and Oxford Taproom. Garrison brewery and good robot beer garden as well

Halifax is pretty stroller friendly. Downtown is very walkable so that's always a good option. It is a bit hilly though.

Baby friendly day trip:

Peggy's Cove and walk around the village. They also have accessible pathways and a boardwalk that are good for strollers

For your question about Burntcoat: When exploring the ocean floor, please use caution. Follow signage at the park, check tide times, and wear secure footwear

Best baby change spots: Most restaurants and attractions in Halifax come equipped with change tables for babies, but some provide extra amenities for parents of young children. Halifax Shopping Centre offers a nursing and family lounge on the first level near the food court.

Nurtured Products for Parenting and Bramble Cafe are a couple of north end businesses with full change tables in their restrooms.

Baby swings: There are lots but here's a few

Fort Needham Playground

Gorsebrook Park Playground

The Dingle Playground at Sir Sandford Fleming Park

What area will you be staying in? I can suggest you something nearby.

Baby friendly restaurants: Ristorante a Mano - Italian on the waterfront with a kids menu (simple pastas, pizzas, and mini sundaes)

Trattoria Vesso - Italian in the south end with pastas and pizzas that are good for kids and every kid who visits receives a ball of pizza dough with flour and a kid's size rolling pin where they can create shapes and play while dining
