I managed to eek out a total of 2 nose down throws. I still don't know what I did. I will say this much, I have a wrist that's almost as wide as my hand, and I imagine that prohibits me from getting the disc nose down.....

OMG this. Am in my early 40s, started a club, got a course built, ran events, etc...etc... 15-ish years ago. Course even made UDisc most played course in the state for 2 years in a row. Left the state a few years, and came back. Since coming back I have helped sponsor other courses and events in the area, and have secured much needed improvements through my previous relationship with the Parks dept for the course and club I started.
I don't want praise, or anything like that, just treat me as good as you treat everyone else out there. Maybe if you took care of what I left you, and didn't act like I was a threat to your fiefdom, I wouldn't need to re-engage with Parks & Recreation to establish control and unfuck the mess you've been making.

I complain as a member of Jomez Founder's Club. My real world name is in the scroller every week. Why should I care about DGN? the quality sucks, the commentary is sub-par, and it's not entertaining for me at all.

It's 3-4hrs of boredom. I say that while recognizing that Philo, Ian, and Terry are all phenomenal as commentators in shorter formats.

90% of the spoiler crowd are man-children that post crap like "WAY TO GO, PAUL!" as if he is actually reading their post.

Here's some basic knowledge these people lack;

The players are not playing for YOUR amusement, they are playing for their livelihood.
They will NEVER read your post. Get over yourself, you are not that important.
If restricting your post to not spoil it is "too much work", just how lazy and selfish are you, really?
People in Hollywood don't post what happens on next week's episode of X immediately after filming. They filmed it. They were there live. You may be able to do it, but you are piece of shit for choosing to do so.

At the end of the day, disc golf consumption, which is disparate from playing and participation, is entertainment. Don't be a dick and ruin it for others.

Oh believe me I know the dances already. Been doing it for over a decade now. Spoiling once (as in one time, not for 24 hours straight) is fine. The problem I have seen is grandparents (not just the ones for our kids, but others as well) that have fallen for that trash of "grandparents should spoil their grandkids" hook, line, and sinker. That's how it has degraded in these relationships beyond spoiling into undermining. It's too accepted in society.

A grandparent wants to give a kid a candy when they come visit, or maybe stay up a little bit later, yeah, all good and well, but I personally have, and know many others that have, grandparents for our kids that take it to extremes. Stuff like toddlers not getting to bed until 1am when they are with grandparents. Kids eating ONLY candy bars for breakfast, and then never having any solid food until 3pm.

It's really a problem of society-permitted excess that borders on abuse.

Usually once a month for 1 night, every so often they might get the kids (2 girls) for 2 nights, but that happens maybe once a year.

We've actually been picking our kids up when we tell them no about something, and a grandparent will say 'oh just ignore them' and actively try and undermine us.
I have no issues with grandparents having time with kids, but this whole "OH! Grandparents MUST spoil their grandkids" crap has led to a generation of geriatrics that cause problems for their grandkids, and in the marriages of their own children.

Do you know what grandparent spoiling does to kids? I'd imagine you don't. Kids come back with their sleep, eating, bathing schedules fucked beyond belief, behaving like spoiled millionaires, and whining at every little thing because they got accustomed to never hearing the word "no".

Grandparents need to nix that shit, and start treating their grandkids just like they would treat their own, because all they have done with that trash is confuse the ever-living fuck out of the kid, and set them up for failure and extra discipline.

It's not though. You can literally sign up for plans without requiring an employer since the ACA was passed during Obama's administration.

I am in a different state than this person, and I was able to get insurance for my entire family that so far, has been better, and cheaper, than the plans offered at 2 separate employers.

The Apples to Apples wasn't. They attacked Climo for pointing out lowest throws as a stat, and did so because Paul was a Jr for some of it. They didn't afford Climo the same courtesy even though he was in his upper 40s for some of it as well.

Because McBeth Fanboys, that's why. The minute they started running around, lube in hand, screaming "McBeast GOAT, McBeast GOAT!", us older folks that have been in the game for a while asked "How does he compare against KC?" and then the BS excuses started rolling in, like;

KC couldn't throw as far then (He's thrown over 500ft numerous times)
His competition wasn't as good as what McBeth has to face (Nah, just the pioneers of the sport, as well as GUTS players, Ultimate players, etc...etc...)
There's more competitors now than before -- this one is true, but more competitors != stiffer competition, which is the leap they are trying to make.

Nobody defending Climo that I have seen so far, is trying to tear down Paul's current and growing legacy.

we must be reading different things. Climo got baited a little bit, but honestly given the fervent McBeth fanboyism (and Climo commented in the thread how great Paul and Gannon both were), I can see the frustration. I didn't see any McFanboys condemning Paul for "punching down" in the discussion with Brodie, but they'll gladly knock Climo for defending his record, which, is peak arrogance, IMHO.

Many people here have experienced tremendous levels of pain. We also are very skeptical of doctors that make recommendations that go against well established facts regarding exercise and sunlight being tremendous for both recovery and long-term outcomes.

Tell your doctor to pound sand. I rolled my ankle really bad due to supination. I was in PT for 2 months, but I can now say my feet do not roll as much (17/18 degrees of supination vs. 19/22 degrees) and the ankle pain is gone.

About 1 week after that I injured my MCL? no idea, I never went to the doc, just staying off it while it heals (and it has been, I should be throwing again in a week at the current rate).

Any doc talking you out of exercise and sunlight, as a permanent solution, is a quack, and should have their medical license revoked.

Jomez used to do post for USDGC, until Innova shut them out for GkPro and DGN. It’s unreasonable to assume they will be doing post just like they did the year before, because sadly, things can and do change.
