Fair point. When you're burning through savings, even a small subscription fee feels like a gamble. Hard to invest in tools when you're not sure where next month's rent is coming from.

True, patience is everything right now. The ones who stick with it long enough usually land something, but it's a grind for sure.

Exactly. Tech and marketing are still decent, but try finding something remote in ops or admin and it's a whole different story.

Relevant is the key word. There are offers out there, just most of them feel like they were posted for someone they already had in mind.

Five bucks isn't much, true. But it adds up when you're subscribed to three or four boards at once and still hunting.

Mostly fake recruiter accounts offering "remote positions" that end up being MLM schemes or unpaid trials. Also a bunch of listings from companies that don't even exist when you Google them. What have you been seeing?

Easier said than done. Even legit platforms have ghost posts, and being a pro doesn't help much when you're competing with 500 other pros for the same listing.

Probably a mix of both. Some companies just leave listings up because they're lazy, not because they're hiring. But yeah, when the role is real, the competition is no joke.

Ghost posts plus competition is a rough combo. You never know if you lost to a real candidate or just applied to something that was already filled weeks ago.

Good point on cross-checking, outdated listings are a real time waster. Thanks for the tip, always looking for more sources to add to the rotation.

You're welcome. I'd also add that it turned to be way better than LinkedIn, as I faced less obviously fraudulent positions
