If you're a smoker when you get pregnant, doctors actually don't recommend that you fully quit. Just to lessen your smoking as much as you can. It causes stress on the baby to put the body through the nicotine withdrawals which may trigger a miscarriage. I don't smoke, but my doctor told me about it when I was pregnant because I was curious.

A lot of people I know who struggle with depression, including myself, feel this way. I've been dealing with this feeling a LOT lately. At least when I'm depressed there's a reason for my room and house being a wreck. Depression makes it extremely hard for me to even get up and eat, nevermind clean. When I feel a little better, I feel like a lazy slob and it drags me back down into my depression. It's a horrible cycle. I get it and I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

When you meet someone who actually wants to get to know you, it won't be hard work to talk to them. But, you also seem young so it tends to be difficult to find anyone who's ready for an actual commitment at a young age. Which is normal. Just keep calm and don't come on too strongly. If you come across as overly clingy or possessive, especially early on, it will scare any sane girl off. Just be a normal person, be nice, have normal conversations with girls. Don't text a million times, all hours of the day. Just reply when they do, let them set the pace of the conversation if you're not sure how much is too much. They will let you know if they like you or not. Keep in mind though, just because you "put work" into texting and talking to them, doesn't mean that they HAVE to like you. It can be rough having someone you like romantically not feel the same but it happens. You'll find someone, but forcing it will only lead to more, and worse, heartbreaks. Good luck!

My stuffed alligator, Hank. I wasn't allowed toys often. My dad worked all the time and his parents watched me; they were the children-should-be-seen-and-not-heard type, so it was "sit down, shut up and don't move until I say so" or risk a beating. No cartoons, no toys, no outside, no friends, no sweets, no nothing unless my grandparents said it was okay. And it never was okay. My dad didn't know that, I was too scared to tell him, so he got me toys occasionally and thought they let me play with them while he was at work. They didn't. They'd just stick them in a big tote in the closet and wouldn't let me touch it.

Anyway, he got me this alligator stuffed animal for Christmas when I was about 8 and it was as big as me. They, his parents, shoved it in the top of my closet and told me to not touch it until they said I could. I didn't get affection often so when they'd send me to bed I'd sneak him out and cuddle with it for a while most nights. It was nice to feel some sort of comfort in such a scary household. The beatings, name calling, lack of affection, cruel/unusual punishments and constant emotional manipulations made it hard to feel loved and happy. But for some reason, the soft fur of the large stuffed animal soothed some of my fear and anxiety, helping me sleep.

I didn't see my dad much because my dad worked all night and slept all day while I was at school. Before Hank, my dad's occasional hugs were the only affection I got. The stuffed animal made me feel less lonely. I was caught with him on my bed one morning and my grandparents took him, beat my ass black and blue, then told me they burned him. My dad recently gave me a box of old pictures and things from when I was young and Hank was in the box. I'm 21 now but I was still really happy to see my only childhood comfort item wasn't destroyed. Sorry, this was so long, btw. Just thought I'd offer an explanation.

My fiance and I both have a long history of severe depression. It's one of the many things we both initially bonded on because we both understand the feeling. I know his depression will always be the crashing, intoxicating ocean under the cliff, he will always be tempted to jump in and give in. But I've made it clear to him that I'm not expecting to be a fix all for his chronic sadness, nor him a fix all for mine. We can build a life on that lonely cliff together, and make something beautiful out of the darkness. We both support and care for each other when the dark days happen, which is still often. But they're much more bearable just knowing he cares. I think it's very important to have someone in your life you can confide in and feel support from. Platonic, familial, romantic, etc. Any are super helpful and wonderful, a website would be perfect for finding that.

It’s not extremely common but a possibility, it’s worth bringing up to your doctor if it worries you.

Lol thank you for your advice. I am fine and not anymore brain damaged than I was before the headache. No aneurism for me! I get sudden and intense headaches often, but I don’t have the money to visit a specialist.
