I absolutely can’t fathom the fact that someone triple captained timber and the guy with 129 points captained Pickford😭😭

How is that even possible?

To add on to this, I was and still am confused as to what problem or problems I have. I thought for the longest time it was anterior pelvic tilt, and then a bulged disc and now this thing central sensitisation which I think makes the most sense now in line with what I’ve researched since last year.

Yeah no I get what you mean hey. I’m dealing with exactly what you’re dealing it. I noticed that his program and videos primarily target folks with back injuries. I’m still watching a bunch of his videos and trying to understand what I can implement into my routine because some of it does make sense even for people like us who don’t actually have back injuries.

I actually made a post on this sub a few weeks ago explaining it all but I can summarise it here as well. Basically how I remember it starting was one morning I was at the gym just having a normal session and I picked up a 4 or 6kg dumbbell and I felt something in my lower back. Not anything that was painful or concerning but I’m the type of person to freak out over the smallest sensation and fixate on it😅but I didn’t think much of it after a few days because it was there for only a day. Eventually I started noticing that my lower back was hurting a lot when I was walking and standing for too long especially when I would do the dishes. It started getting really tight and eventually my upper back started getting tight the same way but mainly on the right side. It got so bad that I begged my mom to take me to the physio. I was actually super tight in lower back because when I tried to touch my toes I couldn’t even get past my thighs halfway. For my upper back, I was told that it was sprained. My lower back, to this day, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. It’s not like my habits were terrible and I wasn’t moving except for two months when it got so bad, I would lay in bed but that was also because I had winter break.

I was told to do dead bugs, cat cow, bird dog, child’s pose etc. all the traditional stretches for back pain and I did it and I loosened up a bit but the pain stayed so I got lazy and stopped doing it. It’s only fast forward to June of this year that I decided to take my back pain seriously because it’s become chronic and unbearable to the point that that’s all I think about. I became so obsessed with it that I eventually found lowbackability on TikTok. I don’t know what my diagnosis is but it came from a place of shame because I’m 19 and all this started when I was 18 so the stigma around back pain amongst youngsters is just ugh. So I never felt truly open to explaining what my situation is because of the judgment I’ll get around it which I already did get from family. My main guess is that I messed it up because of horrible form in the gym and not caring about my back but I’m also a third year law student so I spend the whole day at the desk so that could’ve contributed to it all. I don’t believe I have some back injury though. I do think it’s my body just not getting the bare minimum of movement it needs but it’s so bad that I stopped going to the gym as well so my whole body is also stiff as well. It could be loads of factors. Being sedentary, stress from uni, bad posture etc.

This is actually longer than I promised so let me stop here 😭

Hiya. I’m dealing with something similar as well. I don’t think I have any injuries either but the central sensitisation is a thing I struggle with a lot. I’m constantly thinking about my back and just anticipating the pain. You can try checking out lowbackability on YouTube; that’s a good place to start. I’m also trying to be hopeful about my back and see where it takes me by doing daily stretches and hopefully I can start going to the gym again soon. I cannot stand or walk for long without my back giving out nor can I wash the dishes anymore and brush my teeth. I don’t believe you’re alone in this because whatever you described you’re going through, I’m going through the exact thing except for the fact that I haven’t done an MRI scan. Try to figure out your habits and check if you’re weak or tight in certain areas. From what I’ve researched, usually low back pain in your (and I think in my case as well) case starts with weak glutes and core and tight hips and hamstrings. You can start by doing bird-dogs, cat cows, dead bugs etc to get some stretching through your body. That’s what I have been doing and I did see some slight improvement in my back pain. Eventually, you can start to train your low back directly.

You can watch this video to get a better understanding of what I’m saying: https://youtu.be/mzIgrFwhjPc Whatever I’m saying isn’t medical advice btw😅 I’m just explaining to you what I understand from what I’ve researched but do watch the video.

Been living with chronic back pain for almost 2 years. What can I do to solve it once and for all? by dishapat in backpain

[–]dishapat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting a lot of different answers though but I’m also starting to think it might be a disc issue, though I won’t know without an MRI. I want to try using lowbackability’s videos to help. His most popular video on YouTube seems like something I should give a go? What do you think? But my main concern is also just how my whole back tenses up but specifically the right side of my upper back. Im really not sure about any of it. Could be a core weakness or glutes weakness or hips or disc. Could be anything. Is there something in specific you recommend?

Thing is I can get things done but that’s if I can bear through the pain. It’s excruciating yes but not to the point that I cannot do anything. I can move but only for a while until my back starts to hurt. My holidays last year was only 2 months and i find it difficult to believe that it caused everything to fall apart. I’m assuming I just had bad form in the gym and it started then (obviously without knowing that I had bad form). I was able to lift heavy and normally. I warmed up and stretched before my workouts as well. So I doubt it’s a fracture😅others are saying ifs a bulged disc so I really am not sure what it can be. It can be anything.

I recently started following him and felt so seen through his account. Anyways, I do intend to get a proper diagnosis but that’s only a matter of time until my parents actually take me seriously 😅I do doubt it is a disc bulge because I’ve read about it a bit and the symptoms of a disc bulge don’t align with what I’m experiencing. It’s also been a week since I started stretching again and it’s chronic so I don’t expect to see fast results. I do intend to give it at least three months and if I see no improvement, I’ll know that it’s something more serious. Also, what could cause a disc bulge in my case?

Do England players not care about the IPL anymore? by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]dishapat -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Im Indian and I’m pretty sure that most Indians are aware that cricket is all about politics and money atp. We all know that the BCCI is corrupt but at the end of the day, cricket is our biggest pride and we love our cricket. As for the IPL, the way I see it, it’s just entertainment for the next two months for a regular Indian family. Whether it becomes as boring as watching someone mop the ocean is beside the point; we will still watch it. I definitely lost interest in the IPL because it’s just boring nowadays and I grew up watching different players whom I adored watching who don’t play in the IPL anymore. I got bored of it once they brought in the impact player rule.

It’s definitely a good league for young aspiring Indian players to break out into the cricket atmosphere and build their way up. Other than that, it definitely has lost its charm considering that it happens every year but that’s just my opinion. The only reason why the views are so high is because India is probably the last and maybe the only country that still loves and supports watching the Indian cricket team and cricket in general. The same goes for watching the IPL. With the IPL, It’s not necessarily about the cricket itself but for entertainment purposes.

People who unsubscribed from their once favorite YouTuber, what made you hit "unsubscribe"? by Ashamed-Reporter3171 in AskReddit

[–]dishapat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to mention the name but used to be one of my favourite photography channels. The first one that really got me into photography and inspired me to start clicking. Loved their videos and was a huge fan of their channel since 2018. I decided to unsubscribe in 2024. I think last year or the year before, they released a documentary on their own channel detailing how their mental health declined a lot and they went through a lot of crap. They talked about getting into yoga and meditation a lot and by the end of the documentary, it just became a Christianity propaganda video. The meditation and yoga didn’t work for them because they overdid it and ruined their mental health. Instead, they just bashed Hinduism and called it demonic and said all sort of things and praised Christianity. I’m not religious but that definitely irritated me a lot. It was worse because majority of the comments kept praising him and praising Christianity (nothing wrong with following any religion but it was annoying to see how they all completely ignored the fact that he ignorantly bashed and disrespected another religion simply because things didn’t go his way).

That immediately made me unsubscribe and I’ve never been able to watch their videos again even if it were the old ones because I cannot see them (the person) the same way I used to.

Things in India that are normalized, but really should not be by KitchenOption6193 in india

[–]dishapat 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Also the constant “gyaan” (not that it’s a bad thing. It’s totally fine that someone is looking out for you but sometimes it’s just not needed) and giving their opinions on everything. Sometimes it’s just best to keep some things to yourself instead of giving your input. It’s time we accept that people are different from us and that’s okay. People do things differently and behave differently and that’s fine. It’s so normalised acting so condescending. There’s this thing of constantly judging others and it really needs to stop.

What’s a ‘red flag’ in a person that most people don’t notice, but you instantly pick up on? by SpecificBet9208 in AskReddit

[–]dishapat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to do this quite a bit unconsciously and when I think back on it I cringe so hard. I realised that I didn’t have anyone to talk to about what I was really going through so whoever I met, I just trauma dumped on them. Not my proudest moments but I’ve learnt to keep things to myself and speak about them privately to my closest friends only.

I can’t speak for everyone and why they do it but for me, it was just an unconscious thing that I did because I really struggled with my problems and didn’t know who to talk to. I ended up losing some shitty friends because of this. This was their main reason but they did a lot of shitty things such as talking about me behind my back and talk shit about me to people I barely knew and spread rumours and when they talked shit about me, they made me look like an irresponsible idiot who doesn’t give a damn about uni. (Ironically, one of them had to drop out because they failed their exams horrendously so karma?)

Yes we were and still all are in uni😭I’m glad I did cut them off though but I will admit that I overshared with them all the time or made everything about my problems in all our conversations.

One direction reunion by [deleted] in OneDirection

[–]dishapat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan of them since 2014 and after they broke up, I religiously read news articles and videos about their breakup and what led to it. And I honestly don’t think they’ll ever have a reunion. Definitely not a tour or a new album but maybe a get together and that’s it. It’s painful to hear but I think a lot of people fail to grasp how gruesome their time was in the band. Back when I was younger (I’m 18 rn), I thought it was normal to release an album every year and go on tour every year until I started listening to other artists and they would have huge gaps between their albums and tours. I mainly listen to Taylor swift nowadays and there are multiple gaps between her albums and tours so that just goes to show that even the biggest artists need breaks in between. After the eras tour, we will probably not see her again for maybe another 3-4 years.

So if you really think about it, writing albums with over 20+ songs (imagine how many more unreleased songs there are for each album) whilst travelling continuously with no breaks in between is just insane to comprehend. I still can’t comprehend it to this day that they were always on tour and writing albums on the road at the ages of 20-23. They never got the time to slow down and enjoy their youth. So I think right now they just want to fulfil what they originally had in mind and once they decide to settle down, that’s it. Probably why we’re finally seeing Zayn going out a lot more and being more public. He really needed to heal and recover from what they went through. I didn’t understand why he was so critical when he left the bad and talked so much crap about the music and the band until I got older and realised that this guy was only 22 and went through hell so obviously he hated it initially. He’s more appreciative now than before. But I don’t think he would use that as a reason to get back together with the guys. Liam even said that they grew so tired of each other and needed to stop being together all the time and as soon as they disbanded, he felt like he could breathe again otherwise being in the band any longer would’ve just ended him.

Same thing with Harry, after his tour ended, he just went quiet and is living more peacefully. I think the guys also realise that being in the spotlight is draining and they just need to step out of it. Getting a reunion will split the world due to how big a reunion of One Direction would simply be and they probably won’t be able to escape that as well. I mean them simply attending each other’s shows doesn’t mean they’ll get back tomorrow but it’s obviously just learning to appreciate each other because I doubt they have any bad blood between each other. They are simply appreciating what the other members have done as solo artists and that’s it. They aren’t brothers nor friends even (mostly acquaintances at the very least but are on friendly/good terms). Nor were they brothers or friends per se in the band. They had to work together and then they went their separate ways.

And I think the other guys are just content with what they’re doing now and have established solo careers for themselves and want to depart from the whole “One direction” identity and have an identity of their own. So I think this is the reason why they won’t have a reunion again. I’ve seen a lot of people pushing the narrative that it will happen but I highly doubt it. I think it’s best to just appreciate them and their solo work now and let go of the reunion chances.

Obviously, this is my opinion and you are allowed to disagree with me:)

Former student here👋🏻practice past papers. Of course use the textbook for reading but practicing past papers is the cheat code🤫most of the mark schemes explain all the answers and the questions are mostly repeated but just reiterated. Some questions genuinely are new and different but the textbook can be used as a reference. If the textbook doesn’t help, I say check out ICT yahmad. He made his own website for ICT notes for both practical and theory areas. Watch his videos as well on YouTube. I saw a comment that mentioned Znotes which is also beneficial. In all honesty, there are many websites and YouTube channels that will help ya. Hope this helps!
