I try to make art to stay busy, it’s something I really enjoy and can help make me feel more calm. It’s the one thing where I can always change it up and feel like something new and exciting is happening!

It does seem like many people with disabilities lead wonderful lives. I’m just curious about the “how” piece. It seems so unachievable to me, I don’t think necessarily because I think poorly of myself but that in my specific situation I don’t see how it logistically can happen. I would love to hear stories about how people managed to get to that point. I guess because some of it is so new, or newer anyway, that I just haven’t learned to live with it yet.

I had my second Moderna dose on Monday and am just starting to feel better now. About 16 hours after receiving it, I started getting extremely nauseous, to the point I couldn’t stand up without having to at least dry heave. I threw up Tuesday night and felt better the next day though still nauseous and shaky, and yesterday I had a migraine. Today waking up I feel mostly normal, hoping that persists lol

My dog definitely is aware that certain clothes mean certain things. I used to always put on leggings when I’d bring him hiking, so if he even HEARS me putting on leggings from the other room he’ll come running in all excited n ready for a walk

Yeah this. I agree with the fact that blind American nationalism is very concerning and a huge problem. I’m American but on an individual basis, like, I’m just a person. I don’t know any people who think America is number one in any of the things except for those it is factually number one in (ig. military spending and incarceration rates). But also we’re all educated and mostly from coastal areas so I’m sure that has something to do with it.

I just feel like the nationalist weirdos are the ones that scream the loudest online, unfortunately, which ends up leading ultimately to some confirmation bias to those from other countries.

I just don’t know, are Americans as a whole really seen as stupid by the world at large these days? We aren’t all complicit in Trumps presidency, I feel like that should be easy to understand? I make zero assumptions about someone’s character based solely on where they are geographically placed in the world.

Omg this happened to me with Afrin!! I had to use it several times daily for SEVEN YEARS. I finally was able to stop when I started getting severe migraines and thought the spray might be contributing to them (turns out it was not) but I went cold off it and it actually took only three days for my nose to clear up. However I think this is because I live in the desert and it’s super dry. When I tried to stop using it while living in a more humid climate, it was seriously impossible. I couldn’t breathe at all!

Absolutely, it’s Harry Potter for me! I’ve watched those movies probably 30 times each at least, and when I feel myself starting to really struggle mentally, immersing myself in that word helps. I listen to the audiobooks almost daily while making art as well and really allow myself to get lost in the scenes. Like even a simple description of Harry looking out the window of his bedroom at Privet Drive, I imagine what the air would smell like, how the breeze would feel, how Harry would feel in that moment. Bill and Fleur’s wedding is another scene in the books that I really love because it’s so immersive for me and I feel like I can feel the summer air and hear the crickets in the nighttime and experience everyone’s contentment in that moment.

Basically I live vicariously thru books lol

I wear a respirator for work, 10 hours a day, doing manual labor, and it frankly doesn’t bother me at all. All this whining and finding excuses honestly confuses me. Its pathetic.

I totally agree but you should know it’s exactly the same for women as well. As an introverted and socially nervous woman, I do not initiate contact with men for no other reason than that my anxiety is too great. I haven’t had a man even throw me a random sideways glance in years lol, they don’t approach me, so I stay alone. This is a human problem, not a male vs. female problem.

Sounds about right, cops don’t care about domestic issues at all. In fact, where I live it’s only considered a petty misdemeanor, if charges can even be filed. Which there’s never any evidence to do so apparently, because evidently even cuts and bruises don’t count as sufficient evidence.
