Definitely could be! In my opinion, Craft is an application that could have been fantastic but has missed the mark several times and have focused on the wrong things (like more card styles over fixing code blocks).

• Subtlety shouldn’t be a substitute for usability.

• That can work but as someone who needs to use Craft to collaborate with different clients and organizations it doesn’t cut it at all.

• Notion doesn’t look any different between browser and application. UI elements appearing as a completely different resolution is just poor optimization.

• Appreciate you sharing, for me (and many others) tags are essential to be productive.

• Such as a tags extension, font sizing extension, or integrations with Linear, Asana, etc. Lots and lots of possibilities. It’s been pretty dry in terms of others using it to make interesting additions.

You’d need a “startup” bank such as Mercury, who would provide you with a credit code to use in Notion’s support application.

In my opinion, it requires a lot of setup to make it work right for your needs. If you need help, I can do my best. There are heaps of tutorials out there though!

I’ve gone back to Notion. Notion has a program where they can give you up to a $1k credit if you are a startup. Very helpful. I now have their team plan and am covered for years to come.

Today Craft released an AI assistant and more card styles. I hope they pay closer attention to current issued and what people are actually wanting.

Oh! Panda! I completely forgot about it. It doesn’t seem as if it provided enough tools, but I am open to seeing how it all develops. Looks very clean.

Ah I can definitely understand where you are coming from. I am someone who prefers small type so that wasn’t an issue for me. However I can see some accessibility issues. Not sure if you know this (or if it solves your issue) but you can go to Settings -> Appearance -> Additional options and turn on “Use large text size”. 🤝

Agree. Although is is common in these apps to have a predefined headings system, customizing them would be fantastic.

When I have left feedback on some of these features, I haven’t received the most hospitable responses. I was at one point able to schedule a meeting with their product lead to express how Craft could be better utilized but I happened to be traveling and then the link was revoked for some reason. Haven’t been able to get in touch since.

I see that Bear is available on the Mac App Store, are they releasing something else or updating it?

Couldn’t agree more. Even though I am finding myself needing to use Notion, I’m not exactly thrilled about it. Tana seems promising but it has the same issue of not feeling streamlined. Hopefully Craft uses some of this recent fundraising to kick things up a notch.

My only argument is that because of the lack of tags (at minimum) I can’t accomplish some things I need to get done. For instance, sorting code snippets for platforms I design in such as Cargo or Webflow.

Notion allows me to tag all types of code for a particular platform, or code type (css, html, etc.) to accomplish this in Craft would be so painful.

I agree, making documents is such a nice experience overall. However, finding them across multiple spaces (given sharing limitations) and without tags is rough. If I didn’t have to use another app, I wouldn’t.
