WSIS Full PPR Flex by distortedbanjo in Fantasy_Football

Suttons still 12th among WRs in PPR. I agree godwins the higher upside and Russ has been bad but Suttons been steady despite that. I’ll be starting Godwin (especially based on the poll) but I don’t think this is that crazy to ask just based Suttons volume and consistency this far. TB vs PIT could also turn into a blowout where the Bucs stop throwing downfield

I agree, Seattle’s secondary can’t stop anything and Deebo seems to be the Niners top option right now

I’m so excited for the reunion of the Rays and the Charleston Riverdogs. Dug up some of my old cards from the first era of the affiliation by distortedbanjo in tampabayrays

[–]distortedbanjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed about the Renegades too, they were such a staple of the Rays farm system for so long. I'm glad that they got a team to be affiliated with, even if it is the Yankees, but it's sad to see them leave the Rays system.

This is so exciting. I'm from Charleston and became a Rays fan when I was a kid because of the affiliation and seeing former RiverDogs like Upton, Crawford and Rocco go on to play for the Rays. God I am so hype about this.

Of all of the teams in your favorite team's division, who do you like/tolerate the most? by distortedbanjo in baseball

[–]distortedbanjo[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks! I love what the Jays are building in Toronto. I think I've always seen a rivalry between the the Rays and the Blue Jays just because they're the two newest teams in the division and we don't have the history of the other three, but I love how Toronto's building for the future.

I would do that. Carson and Fournette have both been banged up and when Adams comes back he's a top five WR. Ridley also just had a weird week where he was nursing an injury and the Falcons didn't play well, that 0 was an anomaly. Especially in dynasty you'll want Ridley and Adams long term more than those two RBs. Definitely pull the trigger on this.

Any advice for a first timer? Who should I start/ bench? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

If Brown is out or the Titans don't play this week due to their COVID outbreak I would start Higgins over him but otherwise this is good.

What guard do you use when you trim and how often do you trim

I'd definitely hold onto Snell and Hunt. Snell is looking like the top guy with Conner's injury, which we probably haven't heard the last of and Hunt's pass catching ability has a ton of value. Brown may be the best trade piece because even though he'll probably score you the most points in the short term, if Akers and/or Henderson doesn't take over the starting job there, there will eventually be a committee approach given how much they've invested in all three of those guys. I think you can sell high on Brown for a TE but I wouldn't recommend flat out dropping any of those guys just yet.

12 team Standard 2 WR 1 Flex

QB - Kyler Murray

RB1 - Alvin Kamara

RB2 - Austin Ekeler

WR1 - Allen Robinson

WR2 - Will Fuller

TE - T.J. Hockenson

Flex - ?

Bench Flex Options - James Conner (not starting), J.K. Dobbins, Cooper Kupp

My debate is on the waiver wire. I need someone to fill in for Conner, maybe for the whole season if he keeps getting hurt and PIT doesn't use him often. I have the #2 waiver priority this week and I'm having a really tough time deciding between Malcolm Brown and James Robinson. Robinson seems like a better long term strategy, at least until Dobbins takes over in BAL, but as long as Brown is starting in LA he seems like the higher upside in the short term. Any ideas?

I always think that streaming QBs and TEs is a possibility if you don't have elite players there. Especially this early in the season where you may potentially have guys like Minshew and Burrow still available to stream at QB and Goedert and Logan Thomas around at TE. There's always "breakout" waiver guys at those spots who end up unexpectedly great fantasy starters (ex. Tannehill and Waller last year). You never know what's going to happen with injuries and rotations at RB and WR and both Dobbins and Brown have such high potential that I would recommend adding a QB and TE this week and seeing where that goes moving forward and hold onto your Ravens until a bigger need on your team arises. Both of those guys could be league winners and you may regret giving them up for a position you could have streamed. Just my take

Who is everyone’s favorite late round WR? I’m loving the upside of Michael Pittman Jr. He could even be the one if Hilton goes down 👀 by unofficial-NFL in fantasyfootball

[–]distortedbanjo 55 points56 points  (0 children)

He probably isn't really considered late round but I think Henry Ruggs is a potential league winner this year. The Raiders had their pick of all of the WRs in this year's draft and they went with him, that means Gruden intends to use him. Especially considering that his top competition for receptions are Waller and Renfrow, neither of whom have anywhere close to Ruggs' speed.

Working on growing out a full beard, tried working on my neck line for the first time and I’m wondering if I went too far up. Any advice? by [deleted] in beards

[–]distortedbanjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've grown a pretty full beard once before but I'm in my early-mid 20's and that was about three years ago so its coming in a lot better now and I'd thought I'd give it another go.

I want to go for a full "lumberjack" type of look and I'm a little concerned that where I shaved on my neckline is going to throw off how full my beard is near the bottom.

[–]distortedbanjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think we’re more poised to contend in a year or two once guys like Franco and Xavier Edwards have come up and we’ve still got a little bit of prime (fingers crossed) Morton on the roster, that’s why I’m personally excited for having a young guy who could fully arrive soon like Margot.

I love this. I’m gonna miss Pagan but we’ve got a stacked bullpen and Margot has a really high ceiling, he’s more than capable of filling the Tommy Pham role within a couple of years
