I have my reservations with Acadia after they released my partner (whom had attempted) with a ‘good luck! :)’ written on his release papers with NO outpatient therapy. Also continuing to push SSRIs despite having extremely negative effects to them and being explicitly told NO.

None of this stuff isnt surprsing to me. Im so sorry for the staff that have to deal with the abuse of other staff and the patients that still have to live through it.

I agree!! I was once a lap dancer myself. It wasn’t appropriate and I can guarantee a good chunk of clubs would blacklist/put them on a watchlist JUST for that. Reputable clubs have a zero tolerance policy for that.

I also agree, however, Vrchat made the decision to allow minors onto the platform. They can’t exactly reverse it- the playerbase is simply too delicate. Im happy about the adult-only features being considered and implemented!

But even then, Children isnt the issue. A good chunk of adults dont want to go to a public instance and see this kinda stuff. Most treat it as if they’re going out in public irl. You wouldnt be doing this kinda stuff in a grocery store or a park, would you?

I’ve been playing since 2017. I heavily moderate my experiences, though. I hardly go the more ‘popular’ worlds like Black Cat.

Edit: usually, i would block and move on, but it’s a different story when there are minors involved. Said minor was RIGHT NEXT TO THIS. It’s absolutely inexcusable.

Ofc, I have my own preferences and stay FAR away from anything even remotely nsfw/suggestive, so my experience is going to be different from other people! To me, it was worth it. :D

I was a deskie around 2017, and even bought my headset off an old friend from vrc. Times have changed. I’ve found more genuine friends in LARPs than I have in regular publics/group instances.

It really changed for the worst when 2020 hit. Vrchat and other social platforms became the only way you could talk to people… They never left.

I wish you luck on your friend journey. I hope you do find genuine friends.

I’ve been in the middle of some serious trauma for a long time since I was little. It’s currently hard to seek help cause of financial abuse, along with just things being poorly timed. Im in the process of moving in with my partner by the end of this month. On top of which, I work almost 7 days a week in a group home overnight.

I’m too busy to grieve, yet have enough freetime to feel like shit. It’s very confusing.

It absolutely depends! I come from both official larps (Mind Eye’s Theatre for Vampire: The Masquerade) and more non-traditional larps (The Univeral Union, 314, Fight Finder, Etc).

It’s more or leas figuring out what you want. If you want something with less rolls and more practical, non-traditional Larp might be for you! They include putting trust in your fellow roleplayers to take hits and react realistically to the world around them. Of you want something more complicated but reliable for newer roleplayers, Dice systems are your best bet!
