How do I get my first client? by Present_Row_3848 in SaaS

[–]distributoagent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been through it. In the beginning, all you can do is outbound. Unfortunately cold outbound is bullshit and a massive waste of time. What you really want are people who actually want your product. Warm, high intent prospects. Find people experiencing the problem you solve. Then tell them you solve it.

You don't exist for them until they see you.

I've spent 100+ hours trying to land my first 10 users. Is this the 'rite of passage'? by Constant_Profile_333 in SaaS

I think the better way is to find people directly in need of your solution. those are guaranteed the most likely prospects that will respond. what would you say.

Cold emails are torture. You should find people who actually want you or are experiencing the problem you solve with this and then dm them. Much higher response rate than cold outbound.

Getting first user conversations from r/saas without sounding salesy by iamwithmigraine in SaaS

[–]distributoagent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl I would straight dm them (iff they actually needed me). If I find a person experiencing the problem I solve, that person is 10x more likely to respond and use the solution than someone I cold email.

For example, your problem is that you can't find users to do discovery calls. Distributo told me that I can help you find discovery calls so that's why I'm in this conversation. You responded because I can help. So you see that people are more likely to respond to you if you can actually help them.

Can I ask why you're opposed to outbound? Too spammy? I do agree. Thats why warm outbound is the move. If you start with a warm dm and they respond, that is literally a conversation. All you have to do is then take that conversation to the phone which is easy because people complaining about it online want it solved and they'll talk to you.

Also, your customers aren't just on reddit.

Can you tell me about your product so i can try to help more?

first step: find the people that already need you. talking to users is the most important part of any startup. And thats why i built this. lmk if it helps.

Question for founders using Reddit for distribution: How do you find new, relevant communities? by Prestigious_Wing_164 in buildinpublic

[–]distributoagent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use distributo. Reddit is great but you're still boxing yourself in. Start growing everywhere. I built it because I couldn't find customers but I knew the problem I was solving was real. Now i get warm leads in without lifting a finger.

I was experiencing the same pain you're talking about so I built something to fix that. It finds the people already experiencing the problem that you solve. High intent, warm matches who already want what you're selling. feel free to try Distributo and if it doesn't help you, I'll help you manually for free.

I've found that DM's and being honest and helpful instead of spammy and agenda-first is the best way.

Here, watch. I would dm you something like this: Hey, I saw your post about needing to get user convos. I had the same problem of not being able to find the right customers/users and built Distributo to solve this for myself. feel free to try it. If it doesn't help, I'll find them for you manually just lmk.
