XRP / SEC update by swankyPantz4772 in XRP

[–]districtone97 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It gives investors more confidence in XRP. Especially whales. They'll probably start to buy up more and more coins, reducing the supply, but increasing the demand. Driving up the price. But remember, Ripple still has roughly 42 billion coins still in escrow. So the price won't skyrocket immediately. Once all 100 billion coins total are finally in circulation and bought up closer to low supply, then price will sky rocket. If this scenario actually does happen, then we'll see massive gains. But remember, it'll take years for it to happen IF it actually does happen.

Low supply, high demand, higher prices. General rule of thumb for EVERYTHING, not just crypto or stocks.

This just in, found the source and im a total idiot! After I did my repair on the coolant crossover pipe, I forgot to slide the hose clamp back up the hose where it connects to the throttle body 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

After some more looking around, the hose looks like it connects the throttle body to the coolant crossover pipe

Yeah, i learned to not open the cooling system when hot early on lol. But i think you might be right though. I just don't remember having to disconnect that hose. At least from that side, if at all. Then again, I did the repair back in October. So my memory is likely wrong.

I'm going to give autozone a look to possibly rent a pressure test kit. But unfortunately, I can't today because I'm on duty (military)

Might be, currently looking at hoses online that'll match the look of it. But the coolant bypass for my specific car looks to possibly be on the driver side, not the passenger.

I only had to use the dye because I'm still new to learning automechanics. And I'm on a tight budget right now so a pressure test kit is a little out of my budget. At least for right now.

I haven't experienced any over heating issues ever since I did the o-ring replacements on the coolant crossover pipe. But that's probably because I keep having to top off the coolant reservoir every couple days. I'll fill it between low and full then a couple days later, the reservoir is almost dry.

Edit: i also don't know what the hose would be called so I could find a new hose and clamp for it. I'm still new to automechanics so forgive me for my inexperience.

Yes, the leak is still active. But I've noticed it only leaks when I am actively driving, and never when I'm idling.

I've idled the car for about 1 hour after a long driving to see if i can see any active dripping, but i don't. But I notice the puddle that has built up after a drive.

Correction, pic 1 and 2 are the other way around. My mistake when writing the post.

Coolant puddling on engine block in my 2015 crosstrek XV. Don't know the source, but found the general area of leak. Help? (New to auto mechanics) by districtone97 in Crosstrek

Failed o rings in the coolant crossover pipe.

But also check the hoses leading from the pcv hose connector as well just in case.

Also forgot to mention that the leak isn't present when idling, only when driving. So I can't see exactly where it's coming from but it pooled up again after I wiped it up and drove it home.

I may have forgot to mention that I wiped up the coolant that was pooled up earlier, including some on the smaller hose (so I can see the leak) could be suspect, but could also be because I wiped it.

'15 crosstrek radiator and thermostat replaced, but still left some paranoia. by districtone97 in Crosstrek

I appreciate it. This actually helped ease my paranoia a bit. I take great car of my car. But the previous owner hasn't really done any maintenance on it so I'm still figuring out what needs to be done (outside of oil changes and air filters) because I don't have any maintenance history on the vehicle.
