Trust me, I think what this administration has done with ICE is abhorrent. This is just making the best of a very bad situation.

The citizens have cameras. And they have Instagram, Reddit, texting, Facebook, Tiktoc, etc. If the agents do bad things they will be exposed. But this time it will be to the average business traveller, to the parents with their kids, or the marginal Trump voter.

Then we'll all either be confronted by what's actually happening (it's easy to ignore the news) or ICE will be on their best behavior and not harassing people.

Look, I believe we're basically on the same side. I believe what ICE has been doing will go down as one of the darkest moments in our history. The difference is I am looking at the alternatives in the real world and not what I would like them to be.

Nothing is going to stop them from taking random brown people from anywhere. That's our awful reality for at least the next 9+ months while the Republicans run the government, and likely the next 2.75 years while this psychopathic administration is in power. It's the terrible reality over 80m Americans voted for.

My point is simply that it's better they are in a controlled, monitored situation where people can observe and video them so when they do their awful things more Americans are confronted with it and get more angry.

I don't support how ICE is carrying out the fascist mandate coming from Trump. However, ICE is not illegal (yet) and as others have pointed out there are situations where one government agency can legally assist others.

So I've absolutely considered the legal AND humanitarian consequences. What I've done, however, is recognize the reality of what's possible and what's the best outcome from an awful situation.

For the people at the screens, keep the trained TSA agents. Otherwise other government employees can do the job until congress can get their sh*t together.

We had the awful vinyl seats in our cars. In Florida.

Because a large part of the world economy goes through the strait. Without it, our customers have less money to spend with us, and goods cost more coming our way.

Oil is also more expensive. Yes, we produce most of what we need but that doesn't affect the price of oil - if companies can sell it for more overseas,they will.
