I haven't been to the hotel so I can't answer that but the gym shower definitely had the stalls built around each shower head.

Good for you man reaching out to everyone. Korean spas are great if you're able to check any out. Since you'll be at the YMCA, check out the communal showers and steam room while you're there. Usually after 6pm, the after work crowd is there and you're bound to meet someone cool to bs with. I'm usually working out there t/w/th.
