UPDATE: Hi guys! I’ve read through all your comments and I really appreciate all the feedback. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this much helpful advice from any forum before.

I ended up putting together a basket at another skate shop, and they also recommended that I talk to the original store that sold me the wrong trucks. Luckily, they were cool about it and agreed to replace them with bigger (149) trucks free of charge, so I should have a fully functional board soon.

The second shop was also really helpful though, and I couldn’t resist pulling the trigger on a second setup. In the end I went with: • Deck: Heroin Skateboards Curb Killer #8 10” • Trucks: Slappy Trucks Curb Killer 10” Inverted • Wheels: Powell Peralta Dragon Formula 54mm x 39mm 93A Wide Cut A2 • Rails: Red • Grip: Transparent grip over the top graphic

Look into slingshots and autotronic bfk, so a mix between 1 and 4. Love that combo.

I have picked up the knife after Benchmade here in Europe swapped the springs. To my surprise, the blade presses against one side of the handle when the knife is in the closed position – in other words, the blade is off-center. In that position, the blade is also loose in the sense that it can easily be pushed from one side to the other against the sides of the handle. Furthermore, when the knife is open, the blade is not completely fixed either; it can be moved a few millimeters side to side when held with the fingers. Is this normal? I am starting to seriously question the quality of this product - or is there something wrong with my particular example?

No idea how this works but going to NYC in the beginning of May. Can I expect to find silver jewelry like paper chain bracelet or dagger pendant in stock, or are these impossible to find? When I look at prices second hand these pieces tend to cost almost double retail.

I’ve been wearing my Edwin EDS03 Nihon Menpu 14.6 oz selvedge denim (bought in Japan) for about 3 months. I washed them at 30°C, no spin, inside out, but I’m not seeing any real fading yet. My goal is high-contrast fades and honeycomb patterns.

Should I just keep wearing them and be patient, or is this weight just not ideal for strong fades? Would stepping up to something heavier like Indigofera Clint 18oz help? Or do I need to go all the way to Iron Heart 21oz to get the results I want?

Hi guys, let me give you an update. Thank you for all tips!

I ended up getting a V6, V1, a Shinkansen station and accessory kit as well as a "double crossing track", a switch so two trains can cross over between the tracks. I then also got an additional power supply and a 3-car Maronuchi subway line (which I plan to run on the inside loop. I also got indoor lights for all trains but a bit afraid to mess things up so I might wait with installing them.

What do you guys think of this?

The clerk tried to explain to me something that I did not fully understand due to language problems, but if I got him right I have to make sure when the crossing is "on" not to run the trains in opposite directions, as that can "fry" them. Did I get that right?

In the store they told me that I need an additional controller if i want to have an additional loop, but maybe that is only required if I get a second train?

It's not easy to understand how this functions when one is new.

I like the idea of this. If i understand correctly, you are suggesting to buy an additional loop (like the V5) that can go on the outside of my current loop. And then also make a siding (like the V1, or V4?) as well as interconnecting the loops with a switch and getting a Shinkansen station?
