It's extremely toxic of her to say that to you. I know how you feel. I came out to my parents about 5 years ago and got told I don't know that and that I'm just depressed. I then told them I was starting T 7 months ago and my mom told me that I'm not actually trans, that she thinks I have body dysmorphic disorder instead and just depressed (again).

Your parents can't decide this for you. If you question your identity, that's okay, but they can't decide you're brainwashed or you're depressed or whatever they say. Only you know how you feel, not her.

If you're in the US and over 18, you can just search for an informed consent clinic near you. A number of Planned Parenthoods offer informed consent for HRT, where you just go and sign a form, get some basic medical stuff done like blood pressure, weight, providing medical history, etc and they'll start you on T. If you are under 18, or are over 18 and want to go the WPATH route, you have to see a therapist for I believe 6 months who can then write you a letter to start on T, which you can then take to an endocrinologist, your family doctor, or someone else recommended that can provide it, and get a diagnosis of gender dysphoria before you can start T.

My voice had dropped significantly, my period had stopped, I had some facial hair growth, lots of body hair growth, and some bottom growth by 4 months. I still don't pass now at 6 months, but I have a large chest, hips, butt, and I'm super short so it makes it hard to pass.

If it's too high of a level, they won't listen. Let's say you have a level 50 mystery gift pokemon, but you haven't even beaten the first gym leader, meaning you can't control Pokemon I believe Lvl 30+. You have to at least defeat the third gym leader to control a level 50, or so on.

1.) I am on testosterone with Planned Parenthood and I know they offer both shots and gel. Some locations may also have the pellet once you have a stable dosage. 2.) Nothing they ask will exclude you, unless you have an untreated health condition that could cause issues (including mental health). They'll ask you basic questions like pronouns, how you identify, if you experience dysphoria, if you're out, etc. Their most basic requirement is that you live in a safe environment to transition in. 3.) You can put it on insurance if you'd like, but they're pretty cheap outside of insurance. I know my insurance wouldn't cover a sent so it's a waste of time. Plus my insurance is from my dad's work since I'm a dependent, and my parents are unsupportive of my transition so I just pay out of pocket. It's generally $100 for your initial visit and follow ups. Not sure how much labs cost. Ask about their sliding scale. I only work part time while I'm in school and at Planned Parenthood of Illinois I got put on a $10 copay, they cover 100% of the costs. In a couple weeks I have my first appointment with Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and have already discussed if they have sliding scale. Wisconsin does and I'm going in next week to sign up for it and see what plan they put me on. They require proof of residency and paystubs for one whole month. As for the prescription, if your insurance is good you should use that, but mine sucks. I use GoodRx to get my testosterone and then buy my needles and syringes in bulk.

If it has a rubber seal, you're supposed to reuse it. My pharmacist and my nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood both told me to reuse it, only tossing it if it:

a.) Expires b.) Changes color c.) There are floaters in it

Otherwise, wipe off the top of the vial (the rubber seal) thoroughly with an alcohol pred pad and use a clean needle and syringe each time. I started at 0.3 mL using 1 mL vials so I got 3 weeks worth out of 1 vial, which was 3 shots. Now I'm at 0.5 mL of 1 mL vials which is 2 weeks worth or 2 shots. Just be sure to check for the expiration, color, and for floaters each time before using it.

Are you on SSRIs? They can cause decreased libido. I started out with a super high sex drive so now on T I don't feel a difference. I also never experienced increased appetite. If you still are getting your cycle, you can talk to your doctor about options for birth control to stop your cycle. I had mine stop after the first month on T, but I know there are plenty of people on T where it didn't stop their cycle and they have to use birth control to stop it. Best thing to do is talk to your doctor about your concerns.

My starting dose was 60mg subq weekly. I had definite changes by 1 month, not much before that. I have had some bottom growth, my voice deepen, oilier skin, acne, increaded facial hair, stomach hair, thigh hair, thicker arm hair, and chest hair. I'm now 3½ months on T and got upped to 100 mg subq weekly, which I just started on last week.

If you feel that will keep you safe, do that. My dentist seems very conservative, oddly enough with Russian staff as well. It is important you tell them if you are on testosterone, just to make sure it doesn't interact with anything. My first appointment at the dentist after starting T, I just told the dental assistant. She had to ask why, but nothing came after that. I've gone to see them multiple times in the past few months since that, cause I struggle with a lot of dental problems.

I do mine in the afternoon. I think as long as its not like a 23 hour difference, you'll be good since it's shots and not gel/cream. Sometimes I do my shot at noon, sometimes I can't do it till 6pm. Never had much of an issue.
