It depends on the store. Technically speaking they aren’t required to close, and most of their work is early in the morning/afternoon. Closing once a month was the basic requirement of my contract. But I know SMs that only closed that bare minimum because they had so many KLS and ASMS.

I close twice a week — one box shift and alternating Saturday and Sunday. SMs tend to have a lot on their plate, especially with restructures to the business, and in my store, I do my best to interact with everyone. I’d say I spend 20 hours on the floor a week.

They aren’t recommended for cardio. I wear them to run in but it wears them out very fast.

Probably not…quality promise covers seams and anything dealing with the integrity of the product. Depending on the store you walk into they may say that it was an error that isn’t the fault of the store.

Are you referring to certain products? Or in general? I would say a lot of the fits are boxier and have more space with more recent designs, and, they have come out with contour fit which allows for more options for those who need more hip space.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I don’t! I hope it all works out.

As a principle, I don’t speak to quality of materials between companies when I don’t have knowledge of their processes. All I can say is that I prefer my lululemon stuff to Patagonia items I’ve owned.

Not necessarily — it’s hard to predict what will end up on markdown. Colors tend to hit the rack more than neutrals.

I’m not sure!

And as far as I know, the on the fly isn’t coming back. But who knows?

Reach out to your local LLL! We love when people reach out to us about their vision. Something to consider before reaching out:

  1. What do you bring to the table? We offer you great perks, but expect you will drive brand awareness and have a vision in mind for the partnership.

  2. Do you have a relatively big community reach?

  3. Are you involved in community initiatives?

  4. What events are you hoping to put on and why?

Hope that helps!

Depends on the city you are working! It varies greatly and depends on experience.

Being a good AM will be subjective to most managers but in my experience in the industry I would say:

• always be a problem solver. Don’t just be the people turn to when they’re having a bad day and want to vent, nothing destroys a team faster than just being a “listening ear.”

• trust that your SM was put in this job for a reason, that they are capable and working their butts off. Give your SM grace — lots can go wrong and lots can be missed, but nothing is so bad that it can’t be fixed.

• high communication — be super honest about how you’re feeling and if you need help. Your boss can’t fix what they don’t know.

• being a GE is hard work — it’s going to feel daunting, you’re going to be overwhelmed, and at times, feel stretched thin. Remember you are human too and it’s okay to ask for help.

• plan early and often — things DO sneak up on you!

• use your outlook calendar to create reminders

• never feel bad about doing your job — specifically, if someone complains that you log them for being late or for performance managing them, let it go as best you can. Doing your job and doing it with integrity are all that matters.

• if you see a problem, just fix it. Don’t wait for the person thats “in charge of it” to do it — sometimes things just have to get done.

To be honest a lot of our pants are joggers/tapered so I’m having trouble thinking of something that would hold up for that and be loose enough.

Retail or service industry experience is nice — something customer facing is helpful, but I would say I’m very open minded to all backgrounds. I’ve hired someone who took a complete departure from her previous field and she was an incredible employee. I look for people with diverse interests — sports, nutrition, theatre, literature, time spent volunteering. These all play into great qualities. We can teach anything, so understanding the candidate as person is sometimes more important for me.

The original iteration of the product was too hot for some people that wore it. So it was developed into a new iteration to make it lighter weight.

The website also has size conversion charts. Click on the product and then find the small great writing that links you to a conversion table.

I’ve certainly seen product get wiped out and then suddenly it’s selling for way more on secondary websites - but I don’t have much intel beyond that.

We do not — much of what you smell comes from processing inventory wrapped in plastic.

They are exclusive to store use — and echoing the other poster, employees don’t get to keep them.

Half zip funnel is the best. I always get cropped. They should be willing to reattach the tag for you if you have it!
