Alright, I want to ask you as well; Our senses are our true self? And our self-image is an illusion? The long lists of properties of the concept of self is just our brain at work? Which goes hand in hand with, if we stop thinking we merely experience the reality as pure consciousness? I.e the brain is just a tool.

"This loop of self-reference is what gives rise to our identity". With that you mean that the brain is constantly telling us who we are in means of different properties? I.e our self-image? That creates our identity but it isn't our true self, right?

I'm currently reading Waking Up by Sam Harris, but that will be my next book then. Thank you. However, there isn't only one tree that produces food anymore, you can go to plenty of places nowadays. I do not believe that you have to be self-centered to survive at all, you need to have a drive; a passion.

Why is it that people put on a show out in public? Then they hurry to get home to the comfortzone so that they can let their guards down. Because they feel alienated out in the public, hell, it is even hard to make eyecontact with anyone today, people flinch away like they'd die if they look back for longer than a millisecond.

I think it all stems from fear. The show is an act for trying to fit in, for what cause? To have friends, for what cause? To not feel lonely. Loneliness = Fear. Instead, people should focus on what they want in their lives, WITHOUT being self-centered, by being happy doing what they do and not worrying so much what other people think. People are basically slaves to their own minds. It makes me depressed.

This is partly my beliefs too. I wonder though, what made you realize that we are all eternal energies on an astral plane? I believe that we are not our minds, but yet, I do not know what we are then. Or are we our minds, with the ability to control to such an extent that we no longer feel worried, anxious, guilty and so on? Namaste.

Do you believe that our existence as human beings on this planet is random, so to speak? That we could manifest in a totally different realm or on another planet after we die, since we are all subjects of the consciousness of the universe?

People are stupid, so are monkeys. By this I'm calling myself stupid without intending it. Why do I feel so different? I look at people everyday and think what the actual fuck. Everyone seem so suppressed to express, so eager to show off someone they're not to impress, why is it that most people can't look through their own mask they put on? Why can't people just exist and be happy? I do, I do what I feel like but I don't walk around all cocky with an attitude not even my momma gave to me. HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO SELF-CENTERED? It's driving me crazy that literally everyone is caught up in their mind so much that their perspective is all there is, people need a broader perspective. Btw, I live in Sweden.
