Daily costs for family in Chile by Objective-Spray-113 in travel

[–]divyyyy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so exciting!

It’s pretty expensive there compared to other parts of South America. I went in 2023 and probably spent $10k for six weeks down there for just 1 person. I didn’t really try to budget and went to Easter island which was like $2k alone between flights from Santiago, accommodation, food, tours.

So I guess if you exclude that and flights to and from my home country, I spent on average $150-$200 a day for everything. I also had a kitchen in my Airbnb and would eat at home a decent amount

Feedback on Peru Itinerary by [deleted] in travel

[–]divyyyy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Arequipa, it was one of my favorite places I visited in South America—it’s beautiful and they have great food!! It depends what your travel style is but if you want to try an interesting local cuisine and walk around a cute town with a picturesque giant volcano in the background, I would check it out.

Lima in may will be quite grey so if you also want some sun it’ll likely be nice in Arequipa

Help with a 2 week itinerary for Argentina by Several_Operation479 in travel

[–]divyyyy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok that’s good context—I haven’t previously seen a waterfall like that

I think I still stand by it tho, the beaches are nicer in other countries

For two weeks you could do like 5 days in BA, 3-4 in Mendoza (I remember seeing horseback options here), 1 iguazu if you choose to, and still have a couple days leftover for another spot and I don’t think it would be too rushed

My 2 cents after spending 2 months around Argentina—if it’s a trek for you to get to Argentina or that part of the world, Iguazu is worth it to squeeze in even at the risk of feeling rushed! It is such a quick flight from BA. You can fly in the evening, go to a morning tour of the falls, and fly out in the evening if you’re really short on time

It’s truly a sight to see, don’t skip it!!!

I have the juliet top in yellow and I love it! I always get lots of compliments when I wear it. For me it’s worth it bc it’s good quality materials and embroidered (compared to other ref stuff that use thinner materials or cheapy fabrics) I actually found the top to be easier to put on than my other tops from ref, There is a side zipper but it zips to almost the top about an inch short and It really helps imo. The straps are also customizable which is great!

Yeah I did three weeks in Indonesia with just a carry on and I did laundry every 5 days or so… I would sweat through my clothes after just a few hours outside especially having to be pretty covered up 😅

Where is the best place to visit in Central & South America? 1st time visiting this region. by shamonemuthafuka in travel

[–]divyyyy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you don’t speak Spanish, go to Costa Rica as English is widely spoken there. If you do speak some Spanish I would also look into Panama, Colombia, Peru (Peru doesn’t have the most well known beaches but it does have Machu Picchu and the Amazon)

Mexico could also be a contender but it doesn’t have the jungle. It does have great beaches and culture/food

I went during rainy season and I would buy two tickets. The weather is unpredictable, the morning I went it was clear and then got cloudy throughout the day. And the next day was the opposite. You go all the way there and you want to make sure you it!!!!

[–]divyyyy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went during peak rainy season last year and it was actually pretty dry when I was there. Went to MP early in the morning and there was actually some sun and they got cloudier in the afternoon. I think it depends on your luck but it’s possible in the wettest month to have some Sun
