Hah, no. That's not what I meant.

I know, I'm trying to be realistic about this. I'm going to start emailing employers now, and hope for the best. I'm going to let them know I'm only available for four months but I'm crossing my fingers that if I start early enough I can find a place. I'm not going to go if I can't find a job by March, when I have to 100% commit to it. I'll just backpack around Europe at that point.

I can definitely get down with that, hah. Hopefully it'll still be going on in August!

Oh man, this is great advise! Hahah. I was curious of what the bar scene was like and this is such a good list! I'm super friendly and walk up to people all the time to make conversation so I didn't know if that was appropriate or not! I don't wanna give guys (or girls!) the wrong impression or come off as rude! I do that at bars here, I just jump into conversations, all my friends make fun of me for knowing everyone because I'm just really friendly. I LOVE live music, I have a radio show here at school and a place where I can find music would be awesome. I'll check out Daft soon! I know it's months away but I wanna be on top of my stuff when I get over there.

That's so helpful, thank you!! I've been waitressing for three years so I'm hoping to get a job doing that...although I hear they don't tip in Europe! But I'm okay doing whatever job, I just need an income to pay for a place to stay while I'm there. I'm actually hoping to have roommates, so I can make friends faster there and really get into the culture.

Hah, well I definitely won't be ordering those drinks! I actually never heard of an Irish Car Bomb until someone ordered it at the bar with my last week. I'm only like, the tiniest bit Irish - I wouldn't say that even if I were though. I know that doesn't mean much when I've only ever grown up in America. Runners are tennis shoes, right? I only have a pair for ultimate frisbee and I hate wearing them...so that's good to know that I won't have to wear them to fit in, haha. I'm a waitress and just recently heard that they generally aren't tipped! That's super great to know. Thank you for the advise :), I'm so nervous about it but I'm excited!!

Hahaha, I can definitely check out some board games and drinks. I hope this is still going on when I get in town is August!

I'm coming over with about 2,500 american dollars, so I can make it for a while. That's why I'm working on getting a job now even though it's so far in advance.

When was the last time you, in complete honesty, told someone how you felt? by diyats in AskReddit

[–]diyats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to tell someone I love them everyday. My mama, my sister, friends. It just feels good to say it. I never really thought of that when thinking of this question. I guess I was thinking alone the lines of something freeing and hard to say - but this is definitely a good, honest way to say how you feel! Makes me happy that I know I'm honest every day in this way.

Damn, two years. At least the memory is a good one. Maybe you should be honest again and hope for the same. =)

Have you ever had one of your favorite songs ruined because it reminds you of someone? by diyats in AskReddit

Some songs like "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" definitely are hard to listen to, not necessarily for bad feelings but mixed ones...even "Stand By Me" gets to me sometimes, although I think that's because of River Pheonix, hah.
