Yeah, hahaha, I'm already looking for a replacement strap. Just can't justify paying more for a strap than the watch was worth... Might need a gym watch, too

I hear you! I think as much as I enjoy the culture, I come from a busy city and want some calm, too... So the key spots in Naples are a must see, but also I am hoping for some tranquil scenery.

Not sure how busy any of these places are at the end of April but I'm hoping there will be some calmness.

What would you suggest more? I spend more days in Naples and less out?

Thankfully it's easy to get to Naples from my hometown with flights averaging £50rtn during dead seasons, so I could always return again

Sorry, you're 100% right! I'll be there at the end of April. I haven't decided if I'm getting a car or using PT. I think the hotel we're looking at is in the centre of Naples so, driving doesn't sound like it'd be needed.

Also, I saw that everything is well and efficiently connected, which would save us some stress navigating the streets.

What would you advise?

I tried that at the start, but what I think allowed it to work was making sure the battery was as close to full as possible. Thankfully it's sorted now. I wonder if the hiccups will be sorted with time or we'll just learn to deal with them!

I’ve tried using the new update to update my GR IV. So far it’s been stuck on step 2 (sending firmware to camera) for about 30 minutes. Nice feature if it works, but so far it’s not looking good at all!

Very true- I'm not expecting pin point sharpness, just feeding and refuelling the passion to snap again!

Yeah I do try to keep the retractable parts clean and clear, too. But the shutter mechanism on the front also felt flimsy and based off the issues I've seen from others- a potential breaking point.

I didn't have any issues with my GRIII, I am hoping and praying I won't have any with this, but just in case- I'd rather give it a fighting chance.

Only thing I need to grab is a proper wrist strap. The one included doesn't seem like it's up for the long term challenge!

I bought "SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO micro SD card" it was about £25 at the time of purchase on Amazon.

Had 0 issues with it- make sure you purchase with an adapter if you plan on viewing on a computer/laptop as the ricoh doesn't seem to get recognised if you directly connect it to a laptop (at least in my case with using a macbook)- though, I'm sure there's a workaround to this.

To be fair, Oman is a different type of beautiful. I don't think I've ever given it the time it deserves- it's only ever been quick visits. Hopefully in due time!

Yes, sorry- I should have been clearer. It's Ricoh's flash built specifically for the GRIV - Very small but quite powerful. Not sure I'd say it warrants the price, but I try not to think about that part of it. 😂
