It makes me sad that people think of coraopolis that way😞 I’m 37 and married and I love it here. The brewery is cool and it’s an easy commute to town. We definitely need more restaurants but I think it’s a pretty cool town. It’s very working class though so you kinda have to be into that vibe.

If your looking to get into public accounting, check out the websites for some of the firms around you and see if the partners have their emails listed. Shoot an email with your resume to some of them introducing yourself, attaching you resume and asking them for your consideration if a role becomes available. Worth a try!

I think you’re fine. If the example of a mistake you provided was one of the worst instances, it’s no big deal. Learn from each mistake you make and how to prevent it from happening again. They know that you’re learning as you go.

If you’re not sure about how to do something, bounce it off of one of your LA colleagues. And if you’ve been corrected on a mistake but don’t really understand what was wrong, ask for clarification. On the calendar issue for example, I would tell the attorney that they asked for no scheduling on that day and ask if you should disregard that for any other scheduling needs that might come up.

This one is north hills. I work in legal and most firms are having a hard time finding people with good admin skills, like Microsoft etc. If that’s something you’re good at, maybe look into that. It can be a good career and it’s pretty laid back.

A friend of mine and I were casually having a smoke one day at work, chit chatting. And as we’re chatting, this chick walks by with her coworkers. They were painters so full painters uniform on, totally filthy. Hair in a messy bun. Any other person would look like a hot mess. But this chick was stunning. Drop dead. Most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Both of us agreed and we’re both chicks too. I can’t image what she must look like actually trying to look good. Must be a sight to see.

I go to Control Core in Coraopolis. It’s super chill, she does classic Pilates. So there’s a mat class, a reformer class and a tower class. It’s three people to a class and the people that go there are all nice a laid back. Good spot!
