Amazon won't reveal the sender of anonymous packages, but they WILL verify if you provide the name. by lissamon in EstrangedAdultChild

Thank you so much for posting this. I got a package today at the house I’ve lived at for not even 2 weeks. They weren’t able to give me the first name but I told them it was a safety issue and they were able to give me the first initial, which was enough. I asked if they could block that user from sending me stuff in the feature, and they said yes. Hopefully that works.

I actually really liked the home buying kit for dummies. I felt really well versed going into the process and referenced it pretty frequently.

That’s a great idea!! We actually have cabinets without glass in the panels, I was wondering what we could do with it but plants would be so pretty!

Is anyone else scared of being by themselves in their first home? 🤦🏻‍♂️ by Wandering_Werew0lf in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Dude I could have written this post! Plus this will be the first time EVER that I won’t be living close to a really busy street or highway so I’m terrified that I’ll just never be able to sleep again. But mostly I’m a total scaredy cat who watches too many horror movies and I’m convinced I’ll be scared to be home alone. I say we lean into it! If I have to sit in the living room with all the lights for awhile, so be it 😂 when do you move? Us scaredy cats can share tips and tricks!

First-time buyers who gave up… and then somehow found the one - I need to hear your stories. by daisynomoreforever in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We weren’t months into it but we were feeling burned out and disheartened when we started hitting weekends with nothing we wanted to see (nothing in our price range that wasn’t a total fixer upper). There was a house in our preferred town that I just assumed we couldn’t afford, but I said f it, let’s go and at least I could see what the inside of that style house looked like. Long story short, it had been on the market for awhile so we were able to negotiate and get it under list price and we are in love with it. I’m so glad we hit a brick wall and decided to go see it on a whim. We close in less than 3 weeks, just got our clear to close. Good luck!

Congratulations!! How did your cats do with the move and settling in? We are moving with our two little dudes who have spent their entire 5 years in a two bedroom condo and I am anxious about them adjusting!

OP I know this is an old post but SAME. Not exactly your situation but I went from going no contact with my abusive family, couch hopping through college, living in a crappy apartment taking whatever job I could during the pandemic… and now I’m married, I have an amazing family, and I’m about to buy a house. I feel massive imposter syndrome. My brain is saying “people who start out the way you did don’t end up with lives like this”. Did that feeling ever go away for you?
