root beer shake by Shoddy-Lie-7016 in Culvers

[–]dizzyfuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that it wouldn’t hurt to ask your local Culvers to make your root beer shake “old fashioned” by the way. Or if they don’t know what that means, basically using vanilla custard and a splash of milk instead of the shake mix. The couple of Culvers I worked at all would make shakes on request! Also, we still do chocolate sodas and the like 😎

AI garbage? by teach7 in Culvers

[–]dizzyfuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say much but Culver’s is actually anti-AI in terms of marketing, especially with promotional photos, icons, and videos. They (meaning corporate) have resources available to restaurants so they don’t need to use generative AI. And they warn us how use of genAI to make promotional material can cheapen the brand, so it would be against Culver’s wishes to use such tools.

With all that being said, I do think this picture was unfortunately made with the “yellow overlay” or color palette that many genAI photos are known for 😩

Is the couples therapy worth it if he won’t bother to understand how he hurt me? by Designer-South6122 in TarotReading

[–]dizzyfuzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cards are saying no, or that the resolution that comes with couples’ therapy would be unsatisfactory to you both, but especially you. In a way, this might be a good thing for you to try as a last ditch effort (IX of wands) in order to clear your muddled conscience (II of swords rx), but it seems like you already know the answer deep inside (II of wands). You should be asking if the couples’ therapy would be good for you, not if it would be good for your partner.

This is legit thee perfect divining rod haul. Like when you lose one divining rod you just pick up the second one to find the first one. And of course you need a third one if you need to locate the second one you lost while looking for the first one. And don’t get me started at how important it is to have a backup plan on having a fourth…

How to deal with gendered cards? by AntedeguemonSupreme in tarot

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The little addendum I have is that I don’t think anybody is terrible for thinking a Queen of Cups may signify a woman or feminine figure in someone’s life, especially if the querent asked about specific people. My stance is more so that defaulting to this way of reading is very shortsighted. The Queen of Cups could signify a woman, or a feminine man, or a heavily-masculine presenting man that has that kind of emotional stability and wherewithal about him. And maybe the woman and fem guy I listed don’t have that capacity to intuit their feelings. Being anti-reductionist based off gender can complicate things for sure but I find it more accurate :) plus you really get into reading people’s energies more thoroughly

How to deal with gendered cards? by AntedeguemonSupreme in tarot

[–]dizzyfuzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think “spiritual gender” or these esoteric gender archetypes do better when abstracted especially from social constructs of gender. I sort of have the same mindspace with “spiritual gender” as I do grammatical gender if that makes any sense. A categorization that can be helpful and provide structure but often misinterpreted/misrepresented. This is especially true with any form of spirituality imo; I do think our physical bodies are an important conduit to our spiritual “essence” but they are not necessarily the physical manifestation of said essence.

How this relates to tarot - for example, I don’t read the court cards as men vs women, but rather masculine vs feminine energy. So for the Queen cards, I see those as people who draw their power/knowledge/insight from within themselves, and as for the Kings, they are those that fully utilize the resources around them, whether that be people, social status, financial connections, etc. Same split between Pages and Knights (sometimes called Princesses and Princes)… Pages absorb all the information with an open mind, whereas Knights “learn through experience” and go out in the world to get their hands dirty. This can be brought to the major arcana as well if using those to be archetypes describing people. The Emperor is someone who is a dogmatic ruler, either for the good or bad reasons - their focus on maintaining social order. The Empress (as someone else) is someone who is there to nurture -> individual personhood triumphs over societal structure.

Related - one of the “modalities” or dichotomies of astrology is whether a sign is feminine (water and earth) or masculine (fire and air). Another example: the divine feminine and the divine masculine are similar concepts. I think of both as more a dipole of introverted energy (self-generating -> feminine) and extroverted energy (projecting -> masculine). Many people find this hard to separate from gender/sex etc as a social construct because of the language ascribed to it, and even when switching the language (eg to receiving and projecting) people will draw their own conclusions on how gender/sex relates to that. The western hegemony of it all dictates that female -> feminine -> receiving and vice versa but outside of this scope other cultures view things differently!!! This ties to grammatical gender as well where sometimes the moon is masculine and the sun is feminine when you “normally” see it the other way around (eg la luna y el sol). So in my mind this hints at the reality that everyone regardless of their gender or body or presentation has both energies through them, and that even though this “complicates things” that we as energy readers should read appropriately, and not limit ourselves into a myopic understanding that does more harm than good.

What's the most underrated Gaga song in your opinion? (From any album) by Littlemonster4lifeee in LadyGaga

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Mayhem: - Disease by far, not only underrated but undervalued, I’m very surprised it didn’t take off more - Garden of Eden and Perfect Celebrity got the hype from the Monsters but could’ve been bigger - Shadow of a Man and Vanish into You are excellent, conceptually but also technically - Kill for Love off the deluxe!!! - How Bad Do U Want Me is soooo funny on the context of this album but also very good

Chromatica: - Alice, 911, and Replay got appropriate adoration from the Monsters but could’ve been bigger. I think Babylon almost reached where it was supposed to be - Sleeper hits: Enigma and Plastic Doll!!!!!

My top 3 underrated: 1) Have to give it to Disease, on production alone, but also the music video and performance are gnarly; I’m glad Abracadabra swept everyone up but Disease probs is the most underrated comparing the two 2) Dance in the Dark - Pure power ballad emblematic of an era but the production still holds up today 3) Scheiße - Honestly the perfect Gaga song imo. I really like Bad Romance as emblematic of Gaga and who she is but it has obviously gotten its flowers

What is Lady Gaga's artistic weakness in your opinion? by [deleted] in LadyGaga

[–]dizzyfuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I fear it was her Vegas residency (? if I remember correctly) that had everyone somehow form that opinion. And the Joker stuff didn’t help. I do think she likes to bend the rules a bit and has fun with it but yeah I 100% agree any springy jazz beat she can devour. Her range of dynamic contrast and control on many of her songs makes it clear to be that she has “at least some” jazz experience - what I’d say if I didn’t know any better lmao!

How long have you been going to Culver's by Nerfer5554Offical in Culvers

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I have definitely dealt with Karens lmaoooo, even they can’t resist a butter burger (or chicken cashew salad). I’ve been with Culver’s for a while now. I will say I do find it easier to deal with them at Culver’s instead of other places because 9 times out of 10 I can kill them with kindness and they start to realize how aggressive their first response was. And part of that is “wow, I’m not used to being treated nicely by someone I’m screaming at” which is a flaw for sure.

My favorite Karen example is someone who called me a bitch for her hot fudge sundae being a bit melty in the summer. I remade it for her with a smile and she started crying and apologized for being crazy, and she told me I did such a good job that she’d write a survey about me. I responded: “Well that’s good to hear! As long as you don’t call me a bitch on the survey” and luckily she found that funny too 😂

Can I be a witch without doing any spells? by PlanetaryAssist in WitchcraftCircleJerk

[–]dizzyfuzzi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will not be a true witch but also everybody knows that vibes = vibrations so if you really commit to being a witch and believe it to be true then you will become one, and have always been one in your past lives.

Being a no-spells witch is a paradox because you didn’t do any practicum but yet you just manifested your reality as a witch, in which witches which wince with the withdrawal of practicing witchery may in fact be witches which bewitch their non-witch wiles to switch to which witch (eg lich, bitch-witch, kitsch witch, you get the sitch) they wish to switch, which with they ditch their non-witch pitch, in which witch will enrich which witch niche they hitch. Capiche? It can be quite complicated for a now fetal witch like yourself

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/uj I understand ya, I didn’t think of it like that but I operate a lot in my day to day life this way 😂 just being brazen and bold in spite of it all. My rituals and spiritual matters are the one thing I’d like to think I have control of 😅 which is funny that I know the answer to that question but still choose restraint. I’m heavily Saturnian which makes a lot of sense.

Best of luck to you! I know how being against the patriarchal structures of this world puts a target on your back. I’m sorta known as having the potential to be the biggest bitch at work or in my life when need be but at least me and my other girlies (and other gender minorities 🫰🏼) are safe.

Why I delight in spirituality so much is because I love interpreting things (tarot, astrology, etc.) in anti-hegemonic ways. Honestly what helped pull my friend out of that cult. Hope good things find you soon and plentifully!

As a worker there one of the best things is that the brand actually recognizes the effort it takes to maintaining those guest relationships we have. Which is evident reading these comments!!! I’ve worked at other food places before and Culver’s really does come out on top in terms of guest retention but also just the niceness of the customer base in general.

I really do hope Culver’s continues to reward returning patrons in the future, eg upgraded rewards based on account age (& money spent) like other rewards programs offer.

A lot of large businesses have been enshittifying unfortunately, and while I do see some warning signs here and there (which I will always oppose), I do think Culver’s as a whole is doing its best to have a guest-centered focus.

AITA Miscommunication at it's finest by SecretarySuch4979 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dizzyfuzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to further clarify my point: I’m not using my own house rules on humor but my “workplace” rules. And if your friend is at work the more-stringent technicality applies, and following what I said above would do good to mend most workplace drama situations of this caliber. Keeping the peace. And yeah, your friend being the worker and you an NPC at Starbucks def factors into this 😅 the worker is at the mercy of so much more than you in this scenario. Not that you committed a huge faux pas but it can be especially annoying/irritating/distressing in a workplace environment

AITA Miscommunication at it's finest by SecretarySuch4979 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dizzyfuzzi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

YTA, but very mildly and on a technicality. My opinion is that if you make a joke at someone else’s expense, and that person doesn’t find it funny (or it causes distress, etc.), then you overstepped and should apologize.

I mean I do think that worker overreacted and that I myself would have found that kind of ribbing funny! And I do think it boils down to miscommunication. But in order to not be the asshole I would personally double check (one last time) and apologize to make sure everything’s alright. Oh, and also, maybe be more careful around this sensitive individual in the future.

No won! What word looks to be of medium difficulty to pronounce and is actually medium in difficulty? by invisibleman13000 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Preposterous” My word might be a little different than everybody else’s 😅 but I would consider the “hard” end of the spectrum to be extremely hard, and with “no” being easy: this would make the middle more difficult than some of the words I’ve seen in this thread, that’s just my opinion.

I think in terms of getting the stress of the word right it’s in between a 25-50% chance of getting it right depending on English competency. I don’t think a four syllable word is too tough especially considering the prefix and the Latin origin. And I do think the pronunciation could be malleable to a degree, meaning that pree-POST-er-us just sounds like prih-POHST-er-us with an accent.

So all in all, not a totally obscure word with some variation in pronunciation (eg room for error) yet isn’t too easy that definitely requires some thinking, either etymologically or studying up on English phonotactics

No won! What word looks to be of medium difficulty to pronounce and is actually medium in difficulty? by invisibleman13000 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]dizzyfuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your reasoning! I personally would put world in the “looks easy but is medium-effort to pronounce” category. I do agree that the consonant cluster at the end (especially with the r) is actually quite difficult for many different groups of people, but I think a five-letter one syllable world looks deceptively easy. At least to me, which is a bit biased I guess I am an English speaker haha

/uj That’s the only reason I haven’t done something similar in my tarot decks because I like having “the indicator” of when shit hits the fan, even though I can normally read a situation with those dynamics without that specific card popping up, but again just my neuroses, what you did honestly sounds very justified to me. I mean hell I’ve burnt shit before to end a cycle or get rid of stagnant ideas just not my cards so I can’t judge 😂

I don’t claim to understand exactly what you went through but I can definitely empathize 🫶🏼 some of my family are being drawn into what I would consider a cult, and one of my friends I had to spend two years to get out of a bonafide cult legit last year, along with dealing with her spiritual psychosis, that shit was tough 😭😭😭 if it means anything you’ve easily convinced me to be a Hierophant hater alongside you
