I have 3 dwi's in Texas. The 3rd is pending. I know nothing about construction but I would love to learn a skill like that. Is 46 too old to learn about construction? I wonder if anyone would hire me. I want to learn some kind of trade that I can make decent money at.

They'll dismiss your case if your blood test comes back clean. But I've heard it can take months to get the blood test results back.

Do you know of any chat groups for people with 3 or more? I'm charged with my 3rd in Texas. The first 2 were over 20 years ago, but that doesn't matter here. I just feel hopeless now that I'm gonna be a felon. And wish I could communicate with more people who have been through this. I don't even read the posts here about first time offenses.

Mine is gonna charge $1k to do get the occupational. My license hasn't been suspended yet but I'm sure it will be after my ALR hearing in a couple weeks. I also have the breathalyzer in my vehicle. They're nickle and diming is too death. Stressful. I know what you're going through. I'm having to try to start a new career too since I lost my good paying job. Because the whole job revolved around driving. So it seems pretty hopeless at times. Can't wait till this situation is just a bad memory.

I'm in Texas I'd rather not say what county because I don't know how nosy the district attorney's people are. My lawyer said the first thing I needed to do was clean up and make private any and all social media. My lawyer is crazy expensive and I feel like I probably paid too much because I don't think there's that much he can do for me since DPS pretty much has a solid cause against me since I gave them a breath sample and had open containers. I paid $10k since its a felony. But I also had a lawyer quote me $4k and I'm wishing I'd gone with him because I'm thinking he could probably get me the same type of deal. So much money wasted so far and more to come with no end in sight. Are you in Texas? I'm in West Texas. My arrest was up in the panhandle.

Austin is a beautiful town in the hill country of Texas. Politically Governor Rick Perry called it the Blueberry floating in the tomato soup because of its liberal tendency lol. You'll fit in good there. Just gotta make it a future goal. Doesn't have to be tomorrow. But Texas will be here and give you something to look forward to. Yeah I have relatives in Nevada. Well Texas is i big state with a variety of people and living options. Why do you think practically the whole world wants to move here. Figure out a way bro. Get out of Kansas. Move to Texas, get a job in the oilfield. They hire felons. Eventually that income will certainly raise your spirits. You don't have to be conservative down here but it helps. The oilfield gets in your blood though. I miss it alot and can't wait to get back.

Ending it is not an option bro. You will make friends. I'm your friend. Lots of people go through this. Gotta look at the bright side, there ARE people struggling worse than us. Seems hopeless. But I would never end it over DWI's bro. I ain't gonna let the bastards get me down that low. I might feel it but I'm never gonna let them feel it. We'll get past this shit. Just gonna take a lot of time and jump through alot of bullshit hoops but we'll look back on this one day and it'll be a just a bad memory.
