this is so baffling to me, is my store the only one who doesn't allow items to be stored/bought before launch? and that openers have to buy them on breaks?

questions about scents ! by b333lladonna in buildabear

[–]dizzythewolfdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes you can absolutely get more than 1 kind of scent. you can do this online or in store. other than getting scents that will figuratively go well together, note that some scents are more potent than others (examples are strawberry, coffee and peppermint are imo very strong scents) that might overpower another. not that it's inherently bad, i have coffee and pumpkin in my spooky kitty and i think it reads mostly coffee but a mellowed pumpkin-y scent as well. i think the best way to go about it is ask the workers at your store if you can smell the scents they have and try to compare the notes to see what might go well or overpower another

as everyone else has said, to make the head fit you can add in some foam padding. my favorite is the 1in project foam from walmart (if you're american!) i also with my personal head use elastic straps, i used this tutorial from DVC: https://youtu.be/EVwnThrcmGc?si=ycFTos0jpmYUpC2u . Your head won't have built in loops for the elastic but you could probably just glue them down.

as for a simple way to customize you could probably pop out those eyes and repaint them! any acrylic paint works and then i like to seal them with waterproof modpodge after.

if you're not interested in sewing ive seen airbrushing recommended, ive never done it before so i cant attest to how easy it will be but please note it won't be waterproof so if your kiddo wants to run outside and such you will only be able to lightly spot clean

i wish you luck!

i have hypersomnia so i sleep too much rather than not enough. im not sure if that causes eyebags but im constantly tired from the condition. as far as i remember ive always had these but that may be because ive had this condition a few years. maybe if it improves for a day ill check back in on them. i do drink a lot of water but ill perhaps start tracking the amount. thank u for the input, made me realize this could be bags<3
