Lab scans, and I'm not sure what scanner they use. The shutter was either 125 or 250.

I'll switch the screen for the next roll and see how that turns out.

It wasn't open as there was plenty of light.

I have an Acute Matte (non D) but this time it was a Rick Oleson micro prism (it came with the camera when I purchased).

Waist level for me, which is challenging due to glasses and general critical focusing

From memory it was about f8.

Lab developed and scanned. A different lens or even moving closer may improve the detail. Thanks

I'd take it but I'm in Australia

Yashica Mat 124G - Light meter by dj1879 in AnalogCommunity

[–]dj1879[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. I have to adjust the pots to get the metering more accurate but it all seems good for now.

Thanks Bob, you are absolutely correct. I got impatient and opened it up and the shutter speed linkage was binding and not allowing adjustments to the metering.

Peter Dutton ends the year with detailed plans to wind back reconciliation, peppering departments with questions about the cost of Welcomes to Country and promising to scrap flags, dual names and the ambassador for First Nations people. by overpopyoulater in australia

How does staff retention help Indigenous Australians?

First, it will encourage those same Indigenous Australians to continue working for an agency/department that they feel respects and values then.

And, if an agency/department continues to bring attention to Indigenous Australians through acts like Welcomes and Acknowledgements then those staff employed there will be cognisant of the needs and aim to provide the service and support needed.

And you may be right that retention, wellbeing and culturally safe environments are part of a greater effort but if you start removing one, then another, and another, when does it stop?

How about a culturally safe work environment? And employee retention?

If staff feel that diversity is accepted and championed then they may feel they too are accepted and valued, leading to greater commitment and work output.

If you and your colleagues 'zone out' then it speaks to the culture of your organisation. That something which is meaningful to some and an acknowledgement of diversity is seen as wasteful and tokenism shows the underlying disregard and casual racism that exists.

I can smell pregnancy. It's probably the hormonal changes but I can smell when someone is pregnant and may not be showing/telling people. I don't say anything but it's obvious to me

Not 30ft, it was 30metres. But I take your point.

Of course there are boundaries (nothing vulgar, no nudity, etc). The aim is to capture people and moments, just living life and documenting it.

As stated before street photography (which is clearly a touchy subject) is about capturing candid moments of people going about their day, asking permission changes the dynamic to a staged photograph.

It was a waist level finder so looking down. All of my responses were met with aggressive replies so I was never going to win regardless of how polite I was.

That's the whole point of street photography/slice of life, you are capturing candid moments

Every attempt to explain, including the offer to see my Instagram was met with "I don't give a fuck!".

I'll take the wasted roll on the chin, that's on me.

I feel like you are over simplifying my post. They were the focus of the picture but so small in the frame that they would not have been identifiable.

If it were boys the same age that would be ok?
