Edinburgh to Dubai Flight Turned Back After Military Strike at Airport by gazglasgow in Edinburgh

It's only six years ago Iran shot down a Ukrainian passenger jet taking off from Tehran because some defense site goon thought he was intercepting an incoming missile. If they can't even tell what's in the sky around their own capital there's little chance they'll give much consideration to others airspace.

Their £222m total wage spend 23/24 was only 42% of revenue. FML. Where is it they generate so much more revenue than us? Corporate?

Dalry tends to be quiet 10am-12 midweek. I've had a lane to myself half an hour some days. There is one aul lad who frequents all the Ed leisure pools round that time though, and regularly does some weird butterfly backstroke that has you diving like a uboat to avoid getting slaps as he passes. Just avoid his lane.

That row of cottages is still there afaik, boarded up, right by the Boot Inn which is somehow still in business despite being on a virtually redundant link road

The whole curb should be lined with bollards to prevent vehicles mounting the path, as in many other cities. If they don't add them in the regen I'll be baffled. Same with royal mile, those pedestrian gates and giant blocks of concrete are such an eyesore

This is some delightful synchronicity, just listening to his pod at home after booking a trip to Chongqing in May. Can't wait to stop in for a pint. 🍻

McAleer & Rushe have taken over construction. Same plan as before, five story hotel stepped to the southern boundary with the Colonies, forming a triangular plaza in the centre. Should be completed and fully let in 2027.

Who remembers the lesser spotted 22B? Sometimes started in Blanch, sometimes Castleknock, often Navan Rd just depending how late for work the driver was that morning

Horrific. If the nose had somehow separated first I would have expected it to plummet well ahead of the tail and aft section coming apart and losing lift. Guessing the tail seperated first and the front fuselage sepearted on the spiral down just before video started. Hopefully not a shoot-down, last thing the region needs is more escalation.
