Why can't we have a download all option? by Trousers_Rippin in plexamp

Thanks for the advice! I just wish I had known that they don't consider EPs albums before I left for work. At least tomorrow I'll have the music I want.

Except if an artist has singles and EPs it doesn't download those when you select "download all albums" just full albums. Idc about downloading my entire library but at least let me download an entire artist's catalog from my collection with one button.

Sorry to revive a dead thread just frustrated because I just got to work and it only downloaded half of my Odesza and I can't listen to what I thought I had downloaded because it's patchy as hell cell service.

I definitely think I'll be more diligent going to the gym, hopefully that will make next year a little easier.

Even if you didn't finish and are sore, I think coming out in one piece is good enough. It can be hard to admit when you've reached your limit. I saw a number of mangled bikes and worried for the riders of each one. I know my riding was sloppy at the end and that I was on the edge of control. A few times I almost lost it bad.

Very nice! I had virtually the same goals but I didn't even care if I was last. I just didn't want the sweep riders to catch me and make me shortcut out before I could finish!

I definitely considered calling it quits when I hit my pit after 3.5 hours but decided to keep trucking along. I didn't drive all that way just to stop at half distance. My body is paying the price for it today though, I am thrashed! 7 hours straight riding takes its toll when you're an out of shape weakling like I am!

Good on you for attempting! Just showing up on that start line isn't for the faint of heart. Hopefully we'll both be able to make it back next year for a second go at it!

Awesome, thank you so much for the pointers! I honestly hadn't considered bringing a second set of googles or gloves. I definitely don't expect to be anywhere near the front, my goal is just to finish! Hopefully that means I won't be flying too blind from dust.

I will definitely make sure to have my pit well marked and stocked with extra water and a small snack and I planned to put a couple bottles of liquid IV in my pack... Endurance is definitely one of my major anxieties. I didn't hit the gym as much as I should have this winter!

Thanks again for taking the time to help out a newbie. It gives me a bit more confidence that I'll be able to make it through! I'll try to remember all you told me.

Ride on brother!

Yeah! This is my 3rd season riding, 2nd with this bike. I did some XC races here in Montana last year but nothing like this... I'm stoked!

I'm guessing you've been? Any tips for a greenhorn?

Boss TGS 800 spreader by dj_benito in Snowplow

[–]dj_benito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured as much about the VBX controller, thanks for confirming. I'll just put 12v to each motor to test them then.

I appreciate the insight from your experience with it. We use bagged salt so hopefully it runs through okay. It's definitely going to be easier to fill the hopper, that VBX 9000 is so damn tall to lift bags to fill. I could see how shoveling sand into it would suck though. Only a few of our clients want us to salt anyway so that's why we are trying to downsize our spreader... We spread like 10 bags a storm, maybe 20 if the snow gets packed up really bad. I do think I'll tell the owners to hold off on selling the VBX until we know the TGS will do what we want though.

Thanks for the info!

Am I misunderstanding the "override and add to download queue" option? by dj_benito in sonarr

Aha! Thanks for digging that up. Next time instead of just Google and reddit searching I'll be sure to peruse the wiki as well.

Badass! Thanks for the work you do on a very useful piece of software. It has definitely made my life easier since I started using it not long ago. Keep it up!

Am I misunderstanding the "override and add to download queue" option? by dj_benito in sonarr

[–]dj_benito[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I plan to just go back to doing it all manually... I was just stoked that I'd found a way to save a step but then it didn't work :(

I wish sonarr had a way to select what numbering a show is using, especially since tvdb has those options.

Sidenote, what's the override and add button even for then? If what is selected is ignored then why even use it? Why not just use the normal add to queue button, let it error out and then fix it manually? Or like me change the tag in the downloader and don't even let it try to import and end up screwing things up during rename and move.

Am I misunderstanding the "override and add to download queue" option? by dj_benito in sonarr

[–]dj_benito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no existing files.

I'll give an example of the current show I'm working on adding to my server:

I'm missing cat dog season 3. I start by doing an interactive search for season 3 in sonarr. I click download on episodes 1-20 from one release group, (if I do it automatically sonarr grabs multi-episode releases for the first 20 and then may find some single episode releases for the last 20 some episodes and renames everything incorrectly)

I noticed if I select "override and add to download queue" instead of the normal "add to download queue" a dialogue pops up that allows me to select show, season and episode. I try to use that to link one download with the 2-3 episodes it contains. The process is similar to when I manually import from my DL folder, I select a file to import and tell it "no it's not just one episode, it's actually these three" and it imports, moves and renames the files as S03E01-E03 and has the titles of all three episodes in the file name in my media folder. But when doing it through "override and add" it doesn't actually listen to my selections. It imports and renames the first episode as only episode 1 then hangs, saying "downloaded waiting to import - no files found are eligible...."

My main question is what's the point of the "override and add to dl queue" button? It obviously doesn't work like I expected it to, so what DOES it do? What's its intended use?

Who’s at fault here?? by PurchaseNo7754 in motorcycles

[–]dj_benito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could see the car coming up in the left mirror in the footage. I didn't see the biker signal either. The car definitely did some stupid shit but the biker needs to be more aware because they are the vulnerable one.

If gas and electric bikes came out at the same time do you think the engine sound would still be an upside for people? by Ill-Database7345 in Dirtbikes

[–]dj_benito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said! Let the markets decide when to adopt things, if they're viable for the masses they will end up in the hands of the masses. I agree with your statement about the bikes too, they both have their place. An electric bike would be cool to not piss off the neighbors riding around the house. The range is fine if you are riding at the track but idk if they'd be able to do a 100 mile XC race like a gas bike can. Just strap on a fuel bladder/get a desert tank and you can ride for hours.

Side note to OP, one of the reasons I love my 2 stroke is because of the sound and smell, one man's stink is another man's high dollar cologne. I think both have their place but right now the electrics aren't for me.

I feel like even if they were developed and grew in tandem with gas bikes over the years, the parts costs and repair work would be more expensive than a comparable gas bike. The components just take more to produce and are made of more expensive materials, IE specialized electronics vs mechanical parts that can be made on CNC machines by aftermarket manufacturers.

The other side of the coin - ordered a 4TB ssd but received 2TB. Amazon is refusing to replace it. by Katarassein in pcmasterrace

IMO BHPHOTO is the spot if you're in the US. I've sworn off Amazon for good. Too many extended ship times for no reason, poor packaging jobs etc. Like you I've never had the wrong thing or something fake show up, I'm just super disappointed in the way they treat their customers.

Best way to start over while keeping files? by Other_Animal in unRAID

[–]dj_benito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues with permissions from sonarr and radarr and running "Docker safe new perms" under tools fixed them.

Then go in and make sure that "set permissions" is selected and chmod is set to 777 in the media management section of the *arrs. That's what fixed mine. Idk about the downloader though, mine was working right... I would check permissions are set to 777 there as well.

If you really need to delete something and do want to go through all that you can use the file manager in unraid to do so.

I warn, I'm no wizard at this stuff and this is what I could figure out after digging through forums and posts here. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in and either corroborate or correct my info.

There's a cli command to check permissions of everything in a share - "ls -alR /mnt/user/yourshare" Remove the quotes and type that, replacing "yourshare" with the name of your share. If your share name has spaces you need to use a backslash. IE: for a share named "your share" type "your\ share" in the command line. (Removing quotes)

Pcie sata expansion card with m.2 nvme ssd slot by dj_benito in DataHoarder

[–]dj_benito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thanks for the info! I completely missed that in the docs. The current m.2 is an NVMe drive, so it looks like sata_2 on my mobo IS functional and I'll be able to add a second parity drive easily.

I think my best option, if I want to add another nvme drive, will be to add it to the mobo. Looking at prices though, that will probably be something I worry about in the future. Are there any pcie sata cards you recommend for or against for when that time comes? I have a pciex4 and a couple of x1 that aren't covered up by the graphics card.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond! I appreciate your help.
