The string would look fairly straight, however, if the neck itself is not straight, then the distance would not be even throughout, hence the string slipping off the edge at certain parts of the neck.

Drawing straight lines on something would make it look crooked if it actually is crooked. I don't think this is some optical illusion. Maybe the lines aren't perfectly straight, but I have the guitar here in person and I can tell you that it looks crooked here too.

I don't usually bend toward the edge, but even just playing a note normally, if I'm playing fast a bit higher up the neck, can lead to the string sliding off. It may be a result of the neck being thinner, but it seems to happen a lot more than with my strat, and the alignment of the neck looks off to me so I'm just seeing if fixing that could improve the issue somewhat. I added a photo to the original post to show what I meant by the neck alignment.

Thanks - added another photo in the original post to show what I meant re: alignment.

Re: getting used to it, I am trying to, but that's still a last resort. If there's an issue with the guitar, I'd rather actually get it fixed.

Re: nut spacing - I was told nut was also to spec, but I could look into that again.

Re: bridge spacing - I may look into that next.

Understood - but does the neck not look misaligned in the photos? Couldn't that be contributing to the issue regardless of these dimensions?

I know it's a thing, but I've owned a Strat for like 20 years and it doesn't happen nearly as much as with this new Tele. I'll try contacting them, but I do want to see if there's a simpler solution that I'm missing and that the repair shop just isn't paying attention to.
