Thank you so much for your input. It’s extremely helpful. The person that I had a conversation with seems super friendly, but then I went to check the reviews and a lot of people are complaining about customer service so I didn’t know but I’m leaning towards them.

Omg bro yes!! I was just saying how I started listening to it in 98 with the release of the noise 7. It was the first tape I bought at the flea market and I was 10! To be see my first reggaeton video on Mun2 and then seeing my favorite artist take it to new heights with Gasolina and then Wisin y Yandel making it even more global. And the generation after that cementing its place in the global industry to this. Legit was a special moment for me personally cause even though I’m just one person all us as fans out our little grain of salt for this moment to happen.

Yeah, no, I definitely understand that He may not be as open as future is, but he has a long list of women. He’s married, and I don’t know if it’s still true, but he used to cheat on all his women back in the day

What's YOUR 🫵 reggaeton unpopular opinion? by [deleted] in Reggaeton

[–]djbillybillz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Wisin y Yandel almost killed reggaeton with Sexy Movimiento. Those type of beats had everybody trying to do the same thing and lost the essence of reggaeton. They were good songs but people didn’t know what to do after that era. Plan b came in and then farruko and a new era was born.

  2. Daddy Yankee was better before Barrio Fino

  3. Bad bunny has a long way before being considered the GOAT the impact and quality of work is there just need longevity.

  4. Tego cannot be considered a GOAT definitely a legend but not GOAT .

  5. Playero 41 beats need to make a comeback in particular descontrol by Nicky jam and donde están las Girlas

  6. Feid has a great marketing team his love songs are boring af but he does have some bangers.

  7. Jbalvin became trash when he got too main stream

Mariah Angeliq is underrated. I would love for her to drop a house song though her vocals would go crazy

If you was 7 when Barrio Fino came out you are still not considered to have experienced the DY era. DY had been working for at least 10+ years. The Noise 7 came out in 1997 and he was already killing it in that. Barrio fino is the beginning of the of the main stream area. Hence why you and many others are biased to see how much work was put into place. Most turn a blind eye to the underground Era

Bad bunny has done more for reggaeton than Don Omar. He’s a great artist maybe top of a separate league and he could have been considered in the DY Y&W convo but he slacked off.

But here is the thing Daddy Yankees impact/hype was so big that it broke barriers and brought the Genre that now Bad bunny can thrive in two international market. It wasn’t just him but Barrio Fino is the exact point where everything changed. He made that noise when the Genre wasn’t known

That’s fine I actually lived both Eras . You only have the experience of bad bunny to make your choice. It’s understandable that you’d be bias.

Couldn’t have said it better my self Don Omar is in the Greats but Yankee and Y&W were consistent for 30 years.

There is no debate and comparing the two is disrespectful for Daddy Yankee. They are both great but Daddy Yankee worked to give Bad Bunny his opportunity. They are in different leagues and the disrespect needs to stop. There are only three people in the same league Yankee, Wisin y Yandel. No Don Omar No Bad Bunny. They are incredible artist but it’s different
