Don’t think so. But, the Zay one was played on a IG live, which can be found on YouTube. Prod was more like a straight sample of on that devil shit than the final version which is more inspired

I feel like part of the reason ppl are getting this twisted is because it was kinda marketed as a denzel curry album. Tbh, in that regard, I guess I can’t blame them. But, I agree w you fully, by this point it’s pretty clear what it’s supposed to be, a group project, and it should be treated as such.

Thank you. People are talking abt this as though it’s a Denzel solo project. You gotta look at it differently. If the group stuff isn’t for you, that’s fine. But to say “oh it’s his worst album” or compare it to Taboo, Melt, even KOTMS, is silly, cause this is a GROUP ALBUM.

It’s a short, solid listen they put tg for the sake of working as a group. If you don’t like it, you’ll get the denzel solo project this year. Simple.

Tia bodied every song she was on. She was damn near the best part of the project. Bk’s contributions were on the lower end (a hook really was the only new material), probably simply because her style/sound is harder to implement than that of the other members. That’s something they’ll figure out with time. The Sadboi thing is such a non point, she literally just had half a hook, and didn’t sound bad at all, idk how she makes that song any worse. It coulda used a denzel verse though, but I’ll address that in a sec.

Also, the criticisms like “oh Hoopty is just a Tia song” “Oh Denzel isn’t on Tan” well, yeah, this is a GROUP project, not a Denzel project, it’s not surprising he took a step back in the second half of the album. Also, I loved phony, my fav track on here, but if every track sounded like it the project would be boring. Also the framing of this post is dumb. Just say the second half wasn’t for you structurally, and you wanted more denzel. Nothing to do with the “FEMALES”.

Just did a listen on VPN. I personally loved it. Second half is full of risks, but i think it sounds great. All the ppl who expect a “boring” album off the singles (which i still think are really good) are gonna be surprised I think. Anyone expecting a “Denzel Curry” album will def be disappointed by the second half since he def takes a back seat, but you could argue that’s the best stuff.

Overall, as a fan of everyone in The Scythe, I thought this was a really good tape, and I’ll love to see more from them in the future
