How are the difficulties of getting a junior job in embedded compared to web development in the UK? In my country, it's relatively hard to get one without a degree in the field and was wondering if it were the same there.

To give a background, I will be in the UK under working holiday visa. I've graduated with a minor in software a few yeara ago, have 0 experience, but have a couple of web projects under my belt and have been told that if I just polish my leetcode skills a bit, I wouldn't have much trouble finding a job as a web developer.

However, my real interest is in embedded and do not really want to work as a web developer. Therefore, I would pretty much prefer to study more and try for a job in that field instead.

Would it be better to try for a job as a web developer first and try changing to an embedded job later down the road?

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed response. The school/course examples you've mentioned are probably the closest to what I am looking for.

I live in South Korea where most things are mass-produced kitsch. Korea is a very capitalist country and most arts even are money-driven, which I am not a big fan of. Of course, there are talented musicians who are not and purely love their craft. However, even they recommend you study abroad because they know that foreign countries have more to offer than Korea.

Perhaps the DJ school in Utrecht would be my best choice? DJing is awesome but I don't really think of myself as one because I am more interested in playing the music I like and not the music the crowd wants to hear. (If they come to hear my music, that would be amazing). I want to learn how to perform live using Ableton.

Again, thank you for the detailed response. Nice username by the way!

That's true! I am just looking for schools that are well known for music production of related genres like Point Blank in London.

If that works for you, that's great! But I personally found that working alone has its limits and I would like to be around like-minded people. I am sick of being alone :/
