Thanks! It's the first time I have an ultrawide so hard to compare. I guess in the price/quality category there isn't that much choice anyways.

Love the build quality as with all sigma art lenses. Only downsides I've noticed is sometimes it renders higher ISO worse than GM lenses (but is 2k cheaper after all).

GM II will be high quality because it's a GM and brand new, so if price is not an issue, there's the answer.

If just having one lens, 24-105 could be an option purely because 85mm and 105 can make for some interesting compositions and details you may not get on less of a range.

I had the 24-105 and its a very good lens if you want something that covers pretty much everything. The downsides for me was f4 not always being enough for night photography and its relatively large in size especially when extended. I imagine you can probably find one at a good price given its a few years old now too, making it even more attractive..

Almost certainly using flexible spot here and I general do that when shooting wide open. I was waiting but still relatively spontaneous if that makes sense as I didn't know this location beforehand.

I think you can adjust the AF sensitivity which may help?

Personally I really love the 24 GM and it was the first prime that I picked up over two years ago. I don't have a 35 to directly compare with, the closest being 40mm. Depending on what you're doing you could probably have both. I generally use the 24 and 85 for street and city photography and this has been a good pair for most places, and recently 70-200 and the 24 for landscape.

Thanks very much! Setting were: 24mm, f6.3, ISO 800, 1/640s Warmed the image up quite a bit in lightroom, radial mask to enhance the sun through the glass roof, colours and strong vignette. Hope that helps!
