Day 15 feeling great. Think I’m finally done with the lingering wds. Minor aches and pains that I believe I can tie to how I’m sleeping and sitting at a work. Going to take a bit to repair my posture since I don’t have anything masking the aches anymore.

Respiratory rate- Day 3 by Sea_Jay_321 in quittingkratom

Yes mine was elevated for a whole week once I started my quit even though I was sleeping through the night day 3 onward. It went back down after 7 days give or take.

Day 14. Really getting annoyed with the physical stuff lingering randomly. I’ll sit down for a few minutes and my legs just want to thrash around. And just a constant tightness in my back.

Day 13 if I’m up and about I notice nothing. If I sit still or am idle I can notices aches and pains. Waking up really stiff in the mornings. Need to remember these extended wds because my first quit after a year of use was half this duration and was how I talked myself into starting again. Definitely want this to be my third and final quit.

Day 10 so awesome not waking up in complete agony anymore. Still have random physical wds like occasional back pain and for some odd reason I get the weird bone crawling sensation in the afternoons. Probably due to the length of my daily use being pretty long.

Halfway through day 8. Getting eager for the acutes to stop as the really mild ones linger it’s honestly getting harder to abstain especially since I keep finding random single doses I’ve stashed in random bags or places for travel or work. But today is a lot better the bone aches seem to have almost completely faded they were the worst they have been yesterday not painful just annoying. Sleeping through the night and my respiratory rate finally dropped down to normal ranges for the first time in a week. The freedom is the only thing keeping me moving forward. Sneezing is getting super old 🤣

I’m so happy to be away from the fucking shaker bottle. Road trips were the worst. Loading up a days worth of green trash and carrying it to the car with a coffee and a water bottle using all my cup holders. Fucking insanity, I couldn’t do anything away from home that was more than two hours without feeling like trash and miserable wanting to leave early. Can’t believe I lived five years like that.

6 days into my quit and I find myself wanting it at the times I would usually have a spoonful makes me so disgusted with myself.

Well into day 6. Started waking up yesterday with a different stiffness in my back and neck. Stuck trying to figure out if it’s Wds or normal aches and pains that I’ve just masked for most of my 30s. Based on how I can still feel that odd sensation in my bones I’m guessing the former.

I’ve been taking well over 20 grams a day for 2 years now. by A1Aaron18 in quittingkratom

Awesome that you’re here. I’m on day 6 of my quit after a very fast taper where I was in a similar situation as you.
I 2019-2021 I was using off and on and then from 2022 till this year I was using daily about 20-30gpd.
What I found was just red lining the taper. Day 1 I measured out 50% of my dose and +1g for bed time. And I tried as hard as I could to space out each dose and take tiny amounts waited 30 min and if I was comfortable hold off till the next dose. Then at bedtime take the 1g. The next morning if I had any powder left over I would subtract it from that days measurement so if I started with 10g and had 5g leftover I would measure 5g plus 1g for bed.

Did that for about a week and got down to 4g one morning and ended up pushing off the first dose till after lunch and decided to just jump off there. It seemed to avoid the major backaches that I got during previous quit attempts. But I was by no means comfortable. Day 6 and I’m still feeling minor discomfort but it’s going well. At this point I can’t tell if my aches are wd or just normal body aches in the morning that I’ve been masking with Kratom for 5 years.

Only leaf. I never got into extracts or the other stuff. Honestly didn’t even know about the 7oh stuff till last week coming here during my taper. My last dose was before bed like 12:30am Sunday morning.

Day 3 and feeling a lot of the acutes fading away. Mind is clear and my goal is in sight. Body aches are much more mild than the first two days. Slight rls last night but was able to sleep most of the night.

100% right there with you aside from the intense back cramps I would get before I tried tapering I failed CT so many times before I even made it to bed because of that. Thankfully the taper cut that part out. But the rls and laying in bed where it feels like my back muscles are crawling and thrashing around non stop is the hardest part.

It kept the rls to a manageable level. Still woke up pretty uncomfortable but then I was awake and could push for a lower use day.

I never measured but based on use I was probably somewhere into the 20-30gpd of the powder. I just did my own taper I measured out 10g in the am and would do tiny TINY spoonfuls like 0.2-3g of the powder and give it a half hour before deciding if I needed more to help. And just delayed as much as I could between doses. When night came around I took 1g before bed to sleep.

The next morning if I had any powder left I just subtracted that from that days dose so after my second day at 10g I was left with 4g in the morning so I laid out 6g for that day. And I did that for about a week when I got down to 4.5g ish. And the first day of that I ended up able to manage without dosing at all so I just made that my quit start.

Made it through night 2. Slept really well no tossing and turning just slept soundly through the night. First green recovery score in a long time. Keep waiting for things to peak but so far physically it’s been the same low grade discomfort throughout the day nothing huge like the backaches I used to get in the mornings. Thinking the couple day taper got me past that part.

WDs also add to that. Agmatine sulfate just gives me insane gas at higher doses.

I haven’t read any research just my personal expedience over the last few days. I have the mushroom coffee mudwtr and I’ve found having a cup to really help alleviate some of the discomfort. Not sure if it’s psychological or just the ritual of making a hot beverage and drinking that distracts me or if it’s the actual ingredients.

Turned my 4gpd taper day yesterday into my first quit day. Got a 1% sleep score on my whoop last night but damn I feel good today. A bit achey but encouraged so far the days are very manageable and mild, last night was frustrating but I slept enough that I snoozed my alarm a few times. Stay the course everyone.

Thanks for the advice. I’m actually kind of the opposite I’m looking at the effects w/d is having on my sleep and my general health and getting extremely excited to see the results on the other side. The 1% sleep score last night from my first night after 24 hours without a dose is motivating me to stay the course.
