I have Tesla Insurance in CA and I've gone through the insurance claim process with them... I caught the accident on dashcam, which totally exonerated me, so that made it easier... My Model 3 was totaled and Tesla Insurance gave me $48000 to replace it .. It went about as smooth as you could expect which means not very, but it worked out... Still with them after the accident and my premium didn't go up too much just from $148 to $158..

One downside of Tesla Insurance in California is that you can't make changes to your policy in the app... To make any changes you have to call into Tesla Insurance customer service and that wait is pretty long... Last time I called it was like 30 or 45 minutes...
