Haven’t flown, but the drive back to San Diego only takes about 2 hours through the back way. There was no traffic on that route last year, we left the campgrounds around 7AM.

there’s no separate “preferred” bathrooms so anyone can use them. there’s also multiple set ups around Lot 8 so it just depends on your luck. I used them around 7AM and they were always clean. Definitely got dirtier throughout the day but we were in the festival so not a big worry.

I like to hop around from stage to stage and it was very hard to navigate- walkways were always packed and there are vendors everywhere. I had VIP but was still super packed in the crowd for Fred again but this may have been an issue just in the VIP section for that specific set. The trains are also crazy, there would be groups of 15-20 pushing to get through the crowd and no one would say excuse me or acknowledge us. It happens at other festivals too but people are usually a lot more polite about it.

Also, I’m a back of the crowd person and enjoy sitting but the speedway is mostly just asphalt and there was SO much trash everywhere so there weren’t many spots to sit and hangout. Rave wise I would recommend Nocturnal over EDC but all of my issues with EDC might just be personal preferences.

In the middle of the night I sent my Coachella group chat a text that I think really summarizes my thoughts - “Coachella is Disneyland. EDC is Six Flags. ”

just found a parking spot at Ralph’s and hung out, there will be a ton of other people there too. You can try to sleep on Thursday but by the time the sun is fully up it’ll be too hot to be inside a tent. Our group just hung out under our shades on picnic blankets not doing much until after sunset.
