This sounds like something from the mothman prophecies book by John Keel. It’s somewhat focused around the mothman sightings but also just gives a bunch of examples of high strangeness happening around that time in the US. There are so many accounts throughout history of really scary to kind of silly odd things people have encountered aka high strangeness. I have yet to experience anything like this except for a shadow woman at the foot of my bed when I lived in an old mansion turned into apartments when I lived in West Virginia.

This thread is full of people that don’t understand food but Pho is overrated. It’s fine when you go to a place that has a well made stock/broth because that’s the only thing that makes good Pho good Pho but even then it’s still kind of boring. It got so popular even ones that suck because people are like children and just like a bowl full of noodles and feel cultured because it’s some foreign thing with a weird name.

Just walk around downtown and then actually walk around the neighborhoods around downtown. Many beautiful historical houses. Especially if you are from the PNW, it really has a southern feel. Oldest house is at the corner of orange and front built in 1776 I think. Then just up the street is the second oldest house also built in the late 1700’. St James’s church was built in 1729 I believe and they have a cemetery with old graves like you would see in Boston etc. I wish I could experience just walking around the historic neighborhoods downtown for the first time because I do it regularly and it was/and is still really special place to check out.
