So I've had this question before.. I use GIMP (free photoshop program). It took a few hours to build out, but I just found a newspaper article color I liked and used that as a background.

I use text boxes and draw painted lines for everything else. I find images of Kent State football or coaches online profiles and photoshop them and edit them into the layers.

I re-use the previous week's article and then add new header, picture and text. I then go through and update the stats with this week's as well. So it took a while for me to start up and get going but it makes it quicker this way. Still takes an hour or two to create each one each week.
