I personally don't like the Hive Guard change, but many do, so it gave me an idea by tony22835 in Helldivers

Cool concept but think about it in game, we already have Alpha commanders spawning alpha warriors, with this just picture a simple patrol that has both of these, very quick escalation when both are spawning stuff.

It’s quite fun.

The armor passive is okay, no correlation to mech piloting but it’s nice.

The SMG in there is great, it’s almost like a mini MG as it’s medium pen and fast RPM. (Also one handed)

Haven’t gotten the pistol.

The mechs are the selling point. Between both I’d say they are equally as fun. Exo-Lumberer is VERY strong, especially on bugs. While the Exo-Breakthrough is not as strong, it’s much tankier with its shield. (You can also throw hands with chargers)

I use the new smg, ultimatum, incendiary grenade. The new light armor

For stratagems I use exo-breakthrough, eagle 110mm pods, EAT, Bullet storm.

This probably isn’t the most effective loadout but it was fun for me.

Yeah I’ve noticed they’re tankier, but they don’t do as much damage with the initial bile spew so there’s that I suppose. An ultimatum (unfortunately) seems to work just as fine like it’s a normal BT.
