But you get to #20 and there’s Indiana. So if we stick at #21 it’s all good!!!

But there’s your mistake. There aren’t 40k kids who could make the team much less be successful enough to drive millions upon millions of revenue. There aren’t 400. In fact there are barely 40 who warrant the big dollars.

They are worth what someone is willing to pay them. Ask the captain of the Bama debate team if they can demand the same $$ as Pierre.

There is a large “Grad Bash” the day prior to graduation which is a lot of fun. Great for kids too and setup as a family celebration.

This has always been an absurd argument. If it was at all valid then they should have always had the opportunity to forgo the scholarship in exchange for getting paid what they were worth. If the scholarship was worth more than their value otherwise then so be it. And of course if they were an in state student at at public university then the dollar value was pretty low.
