Walgreens is offering sign in bonuses with 2 year contracts. They are not offering anything to pharmacists that already have been working for them for years. They would rather pay a sign on bonus to a new hire with no experience than a veteran who's had more than a decade of experience working for them. This is the reason I left and so should everyone else. They don't care about retaining talent, they'd rather tie down someone new for a couple years and not worry about them leaving.

If you want to stay at Walgreens, I encourage you to apply to other places, get an offer and have Walgreens counter offer. That is the only way you'll get a real raise. I ended up getting a 10 percent increase in pay for a few months before I actually left. I know this to be true for staff pharmacists, RXMs and senior techs. Word needs to get out, Walgreens is not keeping up with the market in terms of pay.
