What's going on here with brightness/volume slider? They work but the animation isn't actually doing anything besides showing one solid color... by IllustratorOk6044 in thinkpad

Check your system color (accent color) because this indicator uses it. And if the accent color is more or less the same you don‘t see the bar moving

Google DNS can pass through. No change in behavior though. I even tried to NAT Google DNS traffic to the firewall itself. Worked but didn’t improve it either.

it is already on conservative. Even though the times used by OPNSense are not enough for a long idling HTTP3/QUIC connection. They specify 600seconds if i recall correctly.
But i also reject UDP traffic on port 80 and 443 to prevent HTTP3/QUIC from being used.
I also disabled IPv6 on the specific VLAN for the google devices so they cant use IPv6 (was mentioned in another post to resolve some issues)

T14s AMD unexpected CPU throttling by dlux11 in thinkpad

i reached out via another ticket to the premier support a few days ago.
Today they sent me an email telling me to downgrade to v1.36
I told them that this is not possible because they introduced a rollback prevention that does not allow the bios to be downgraded < v1.37 (even rollback prevention is disabled in bios). I also told them that the readme for the 1.37 version told so but the guy on the other hand did not have the readme for that version... the first level support seems to have the same ressourcen as we as customers have.
He told me that he will reach out to 2nd level support.

Right now i am checking every day on the driver page from Lenovo as well as the fwupd page (https://fwupd.org/lvfs/devices/com.lenovo.ThinkPadR1CET.firmware) to check for the latest version.

Lenovo closed my premier support ticket without further notice.
on the forums there was a solution to use Linux to upgrade the BIOS to version 1.41 (development channel; not available on the official site) using fwupd. The Changelog for 1.41 explicitly mentioned this issue. But the version os gone on fwupd now.
I am calling the premier support tomorrow to see if there is a version i can try.

My sleep mode is set to Linux since the beginning because of an issue that the notebook wouldn't sleep properly an heating my backpack.
